Description
Amazon Fresh Spain is looking for a Marketing Specialist (Fixed-Term Contract) to drive go-to-market execution and in-store merchandising strategies. This role is central to how we bring our trade plans, seasonal campaigns, and local partnerships to life for customers. This is a temporary replacement role to cover a maternity leave; the contract duration is estimated at minimum 5 months and may be adjusted depending on the return date of the employee.
The Marketing Specialist will own the end-to-end execution of store-level marketing initiatives — from GTM and trade plan implementation to seasonal events, social media, and store optimisation experimentation. They will coordinate with cross-functional teams including central marketing, brand & design, analytics, and Brand Specialist & Vendor managers, while monitoring store performance and flagging opportunities for improvement.
The person in this role is responsible for segmenting, targeting, and communicating with customers to build awareness, attract new customers, and improve retention. They will also own Amazon Fresh in-store customer metrics and inform our editorial strategy based on those insights, implementing our brand positioning and tone of voice.
The ideal candidate thinks and acts strategically, translating roadmaps into scalable programs with strong attention to execution. They excel at managing cross-functional efforts, communicating effectively across teams, and navigating ambiguity. They are comfortable taking calculated risks, bringing bold ideas forward while maintaining operational discipline. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, is highly analytical, and keeps customer metrics at the center of every decision.
The role is based in Madrid. Please submit an English version of your CV when applying to this position.
Key job responsibilities
- Influence the marketing vision and strategy of Amazon Fresh in Spain
- Deliver key customer lifecycle campaigns and promotions to deliver a step change in engagement and activation
- Understand who is our customer, own the customer funnel and main KPIs
- Own campaigns from end to end – manage targeting and segmentation, messaging, creative, content and design, planning, localization, build, execution and reporting while achieving key performance metric goals and continually optimize existing and new campaigns
- Work with internal and external marketing teams to develop successful campaigns.
- Create and analyze performance metrics and make business decisions about future direction based on performance
- Evangelize program initiatives internally and externally to build awareness and drive participation
- Partner with various technical and business teams to build supporting automation
One day you will start your day reviewing store analytics and checking promotion performance. Next, you might brief central marketing and campaign managers on upcoming events, or coordinate with Brand Specialists on GTM execution. Other days involve walking the store to ensure merchandising lands as planned, managing social media content, or running optimisation experiments. You're the connective tissue between marketing, design, analytics, and vendor teams — keeping execution aligned and customer-focused.
