Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site PhD position focused on offshore energy at the University of the Basque Country, located in the Greater Bilbao Metropolitan Area, Spain.

The successful candidate will conduct advanced academic research in the field of offshore energy, with emphasis on offshore wind power, energy storage systems, and power converters for weak grids.. Responsibilities include data analysis, conducting experiments, preparing and presenting academic papers, and contributing to projects that aim to advance innovation and sustainability in offshore energy. Participation in academic conferences and knowledge dissemination activities is also expected.

Qualifications

Published articles in peer-reviewed (JCR-indexed) journals.

Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field (e.g., Electrical or Electronic Engineering, .referably completed after June 2024.

Bachelor’s degree with a final grade above 80% (or equivalent).

Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
