As a Dolby Car Experiences Intern, you’ll play a crucial role in analyzing multi-modal data from cars to enhance user experiences.

You’ll work with various data sources, including audio, video, sensors, and natural language interactions to create proof-of-experiences.

Your insights will help shape the future of in-car audio experiences.

Responsibilities:

Multi-Modal Data Collection and Analysis:

• Leverage a car data capture system to extract and integrate data from different modalities.
• Develop preprocessing pipelines to handle synchronized multi-modal data.
  
  

• Utilize machine learning models:
• Audio Processing Models.
• Computer Vision Models.
• Sensor Fusion and Tracking.
• Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Speech-to-text (speech recognition) and text-to-speech.
• Large Language models.
• Leverage existing frameworks for:
• Geocoding and Geographic Information System (GIS) data manipulation.
• Information retrieval.
• Automatic LLM prompting.
  

• Education: Pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science, Audiovisual, Electrical Engineering, Design, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience with machine learning: feature extraction, clustering, training and inference of DNNs. Experience with different types of data, tabular, audio and video, is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud systems, e.g. Databricks (pyspark).
• Experience with software prototyping (git, python, shell).
  
  

• Experience with manipulation of geographical data (GIS experience is a plus).
• Experience with command-line interface (Linux/MacOS).
• Strong interest in multi-modal data analysis.
