Location
- Madrid Office (Note: You must already hold full legal right to live and work in Spain.)
As part of the PR & Communications team in Madrid, you’ll help shape how the NBA is represented across Spain and the wider EME region. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitor media coverage across print, digital, and broadcast platforms, and help compile daily press summaries
- Draft press materials such as media alerts, quotes, and basic Q&As for upcoming campaigns and events
- Support media days and player appearances, assisting with logistics, press registration, and event coordination
- Maintain media lists and databases to ensure accurate contact management
- Assist with crisis communications, media requests, and ongoing media outreach efforts
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in PR/Communications completed within the last two years is mandatory
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, adaptable, and proactive mindset
- A passion for sport, basketball, and the NBA
- A collaborative and inclusive outlook
- Full legal right to live and work in Spain
- Available full-time from September 2025 – September 2026
- In-person work required at the local NBA office
- Paid positions; compensation shared with shortlisted candidates
Interns who successfully complete the programme may be considered for full-time roles within the NBA or recommended to top-tier sports, media, and entertainment partners.
Past interns have launched careers in marketing, event operations, and licensing teams across the NBA and beyond.

Programme Timeline
- Friday 30th May – Internship advert goes live
- Sunday 15th June (midnight) – Applications close
- 16th June – 4th July – Telephone screening and shortlisting
- Week commencing 7th July – HR arranges interviews and shares candidate profiles
- Week commencing 14th July – In-person interviews
- Week commencing 21st July – Internship offers made, onboarding begins
- Monday 7th September – Internship start date
