This position is primarily responsible for the development and successful execution of the commercial strategy for key accounts as well as promoting Fall Creek specific commercialization programs to the end market. The position will involve working directly with established and new international customers, manage customer growing arrangements with industry leaders. This position is the primary point of contact with European marketers and retailers. Developing best practices for managing Key Accounts and Commerical practices in the organization. This position requires a high degree of independent professional judgment in problem solving, researching solutions, and decision making.
The Key Account Manager reports to the Commercial Manager EMEA and collaborates with other managers and departments in the Company. This position has frequent interactions with customers, visitors and guests of Fall Creek. The Key Account Manager is a member of the Functional Commercial team.
Domestic and international travel required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Lead commercial activity of key customers together with area managers and elaborate value plan for the development and successful execution of the commercial strategy.
- Develop new business through established and new relationships in the industry by establishing and/or developping custom growing agreements.
- Connect with the broad Fall Creek team and increase level of services to customers. Establish and share key account and commercial best practices with the commercial team. Roll out key account methodology and best practices with customers.
- Identify actions that increase value for customers in alignment with Fall Creek pilar of values. Responsible for the success of the customers. Executes commercial activities with results measured against the company plan and is accountable for achieving commercial goals and metrics.
- Reinforce Fall Creek visibility and presence on the market side.
- Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company values, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Business, Agribusiness, Marketing, Horticulture or related field.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Requires 7y+ of commercial experience with technical product, 4y+ of key account management.
- Agriculture sensitivity, international exposure, or experience.
- Past experience: ideally with large scale agricultural company, seeds company, Fruit and Veg industry.
