What is Outset?
Outset (joinoutset.com) is an education company based in New York City that runs pre-college camps
and experiences for high school and college students interested in healthcare and medical careers. Our Barcelona program is designed to help high school students ages 16-18 explore global and comparative health in Barcelona, Spain for 2 weeks.
Job Requirements:
- Fluent in Spanish (and preferred fluent in Catalan)
- College degree preferred
- Passion for mentorship and education; responsible and organized
- Available full-time from July 19-31, 2026 (13 days)
Responsibilities:
During our Barcelona program you will live with our student groups and other staff in a residence hall in Barcelona and help our Barcelona Director manage a small group of US high school students for their activities and daily schedule. You will chaperone students and assist in transportation, activities, academic sessions, and evening and weekend excursions. This role requires 24/7 availability, although we will ensure there are breaks and times off for you during the program.
Compensation:
- 1500 EUR total for the 13 days of the program. For any prep work ahead of the summer, we will compensate you at 25 EUR per hour
- Housing is provided (a single dorm room at our residence hall)
- Meals are provided
