As we continue to expand, we are seeking a Financial Accounting Specialist to support our financial operations, implement efficient accounting processes, and ensure the company’s financial health. This role will be key in establishing strong financial foundations as we scale our business.
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Accounting Specialist to oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and budgeting. This role will be responsible for implementing an onsite accounting software system, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and collaborating with external financial advisors and management.
As the company evolves, this position has the potential to transition into a fully remote role.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including incoming and outgoing invoices.
- Ensure timely processing of payments and oversee accounts payable/receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
- Assist in setting up and optimizing the company's onsite accounting software (SAGE).
- Ensure smooth integration with other financial tools and reporting systems.
- Develop and manage the company’s budget and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Track cash flow and financial trends to ensure company stability.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Monitor the company's financial health and propose strategies for cost optimization.
- Collaborate with external accountants and tax advisors (gestor) to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely employee payments.
- Handle tax-related payments and filings in coordination with the gestor.
- Ensure proper VAT filings and compliance with tax laws.
- Implement best practices for financial management and internal controls.
- Streamline processes for efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Proven experience in accounting, financial planning, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (preferably SAGE).
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze financial data and create budget plans and forecasts.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
- Experience collaborating with gestors/accountants for tax and compliance matters.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
- Good communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred but not mandatory).
- Flexible hybrid work model (onsite and eventually remote).
