What You Will Do
With the support and guidance of the assigned tutor, the intern will have the opportunity to consolidate their academic training at BASF’s Zona Franca site. They will have the unique opportunity of participating in the migration to a new Enterprise Management System covering all processes from logistics to manufacturing and collaborating on various specific tasks:
- Support cleansing and formatting of local data for uploading and migration.
- Support review and approval Excel data before migration to S/4HANA, flagging issues as needed.
- Support migrated data validation in S/4HANA and confirm alignment with process an design.
- Help UAT definition and create test scripts with input from Key Users and Local Experts.
- Run test cases, log defects, retest fixes, and enures timely completion of all scenarios.
- Validate system stability across waves and maintain test suites for consistent quality.
- Prepare tailored training materials in coordination with Central IT.
- Conduct classroom sessions for End Users, track training progress, and provide ongoing learning support.
- Collaborate with Site Captains, Key Users and Rollout Leads to prepare and support cutover at site.
- Perform site-level cutover activities.
What We Need From You
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent academic qualification.
- Ability to sign an internship agreement; if studies have been completed, meet the requirements for a SOC scholarship.
- A high level of English will be valued.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Interest in developing in industrial environments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

LO QUE HARÁS
Formando parte de la unidad de Producción, como Operador/a, la persona seleccionada llevará a cabo las siguientes funciones:
- Operación, control y regulación de distintos procesos, reactores y equipos de planta con iniciativa y razonamiento.
- Puesta en marcha, funcionamiento y parada de equipos.
- Reconocimiento de alarmas y actuación según procedimientos y normativas establecidos.
- Vigilancia del proceso para detectar fugas, ruidos y deficiencias, actuando según procedimientos establecidos e informando y proponiendo soluciones a sus superiores.
- Autonomía de decisión sobre ajuste de fórmulas y conducción de procesos siguiendo los procedimientos establecidos.
- El candidato/a deberá tener finalizado un FPII/CFGS en rama química o titulación académica similar.
- Se valorará experiencia mínima de 1 año en tareas de producción en planta química y en trabajo a turnos.
- Dominio a nivel de usuario en MS Office.
- Formación en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (50 horas).
- Deberá contar con el carnet de carretillero/a válido y actualizado.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models to support analytics across multiple business domains.
- Define and implement domain entities ensuring normalized, well-structured data for reporting and BI.
- Build and manage data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other ETL tools.
- Perform data manipulation and transformation with SQL, Python, and PySpark within Azure Databricks.
- Optimize data storage solutions in Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and related services for performance and efficiency.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain ingestion pipelines to ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability.
- Document data models, architecture, and processes for compliance and future reference.
- Stay current with Azure technologies and data engineering trends to continuously improve solutions.
- Collaborate with the Master Data Platform team to deliver high-quality data, enable API-based consumption, and support data product development.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
- Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role, preferably in an Azure environment.
- Proven expertise as a Data Engineer, with hands-on experience in Azure-based solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Azure services: Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Solid knowledge of data modelling techniques, relational database design, and NoSQL databases.
- Advanced skills in SQL and Python for data processing and analysis; familiarity with PySpark.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, best practices, and performance optimization.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
- Knowledge in Master Data is a BIG plus
