Join Dr. Claudia Peñaloza's lab at the Unit of Cognition and Brain Plasticity (University of Barcelona, Department of Cognition, Development and Educational Psychology) for a Research Assistant position to join a project on language processing and recovery in bilingual individuals with aphasia.

📅 Contract period: Nov 1 – Dec 31, 2025

⏰ Part-time: 20 hours/week

💶 Salary: circa €21,794.47 gross annual

📍 Location: University of Barcelona

🗓️ Application deadline: October 16, 2025

Required qualification: University degree, undergraduate degree, official master’s degree, or equivalent.

Specific training/language requirements: Certificate of proficiency in Catalan (C1 CEFR level).

Will be especially valued:

• Master’s degree in Neuropsychology, Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy and/or Language Pathology, Linguistics, Neuroscience (or currently enrolled in a master’s program in one of these areas).
• English level (B2 CEFR).
• Previous work experience with patients with neurological impairment and/or patients with language disorders.
• Interest in research and scientific curiosity.
• High level of organization, independence, capacity for autonomous learning, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrable previous experience in research on language, language pathology, neuropsychology and/or (general or clinical linguistics).
• Demonstrable previous experience in administering and scoring neuropsychological tests in patients with neurological pathology.
• Demonstrable previous experience in database design and management.
