Within our Go-To-Market team, we are looking for a trainee for the Category Department, for this 6+6 months, full time internship.
The primary objective of this internship opportunity is to give support on providing category, channel & customer DPSM strategy (Distribution, Pricing, Shelving and Merchandising) adopting the Global/European strategy to develop & implement local plans that accelerate growth in Iberia. As our future trainee, you will be giving support on on planning and implementing long-term trading & category strategy ; Helping on carrying out category & promo analysis.
You Will Also Be
- Giving support on building and implementing channel & customer strategy (DPSM).
- Preparing and performing sales & customer presentation.
- Researching competitors and give a right analysis on pricing and promotional activities.
- Positioning and promoting product categories efficiently so it has maximum visibility among the customers.
- KPIs management.
- Ensuring expected P&L delivery

About You
As the Demand Planner for Iberia and DACH Region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), you will translate consumer / sales demand, promotions, product introduction/delisting and rollover plans into an agreed forecast of market requirements on an on-going 24 month rolling basis. You will also include the short-term management and coordination of the execution of plans, communication of changes, issues and shortages, avoidance of obsolete products and stock run outs. Furthermore, this role will support Cost Transformation and inventory optimization, as well as continuous improvements on Demand Planning systems, meetings and processes. On top of that, in this role you will sometimes support UK for Supply Planning and you will have the chance to work closely with the Country Leadership Team, Sales, Finance, Customer Order Management, European Supply Chain Services and Logistics.
You will report to the Demand Planning Leader Western Central Europe and will be an individual (no direct reports).
Location: we can offer a remote model for candidates already based in Spain, ideally in Madrid Area, as there will be regular visits to the Madrid Office.
Your Key Accountabilities
- Lead and continuously drive improvements in process and outputs of demand forecast (like Forecast Reconciliation and MBO sign off release process)
- Develop and maintain a monthly demand schedule by maintaining a 18 month rolling forecast at invoice SKU + location level
- Ensure an accurate up to date view of market demand by maintaining a robust rolling forecast at the agreed level and time horizons required for planning and commercial decision making
- Ensure the utilization of statistical demand planning system capabilities and drive system usage improvements
- Manage the monthly MBO sign off / Demand Review forecast release process
- Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and bias
- Manage forecast locations splits, roll-overs and allocation rules to optimize service and reduce obsolescence / slow movers and cost exposure as well as DIO targets
- Understand and communicate supply chain impacts and solutions (when appropriate) of category-specific business plans as well as recommendation of SKU optimization
- Work closely with Supply Chain and S&OP colleagues in support of tactical execution which meets business objectives
- Short-term management/coordination of the execution of plans, communication of changes, issues and shortages, avoidance of obsolete products and stock run outs
- Provide forecast insights and recommendations for quarterly financial & budget process, plus 4 year business plans, and category specific projects, innovation and strategies Short-term management/coordination of the execution of plans, communication of changes, issues and shortages, avoidance of obsolete products and stock run outs
- Effectively utilize independent analysis of available data streams and information (category sales history, past promotional/event history, customer sales & inventory data, customer collaboration & insights etc) in order to drive forecast improvements

- Bachelors Degree (BA, BSc) or equivalent is desirable;
- Previous experience in forecasting or Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) environment or with a proven track record in Supply Chain;
- First class analytical skills including data manipulation;
- Experience within supply chain forecasting and EPOS tracking or similar;
- Experience of SAP ECC, APO, Prevail 10, MS EXCEL®, BW or similar systems desirable;
- Self-motivated, flexible and independent; able to deal with ambiguity
- Excellent collaboration, communication and influencing skills
- Fluent in English & Spanish

In this role of Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and auditing production planning and appropriate material scheduling in a way that cost effectively meets business requirements
As Part Of Your Principle Accountabilities, You Will
- Ensure and implement the efficient management of ongoing Mill Production plans to facilitate sales and production capability.
- Ensure and implement ongoing material ordering and scheduling for the Mill and appropriate external manufacturing locations including raw materials and packaging.
- Lead stock capacity and management for principal materials.
- Lead and participate in appropriate Mill and external system development to ensure the Mill optimises its resources and its technologies in providing accurate, timely and useful information.
- Maintain the Mill internal control system in line with Kimberly Clark CFI’s.
- Network with appropriate Mill, region and sector EMEA IFP Stakeholders with respect to operational, logistic, sales, marketing and business product planning.
- Lead the rapid resolution of production planning issues arising as a result of variations to sales forecast or unplanned production interruptions.
- Support the improvement of Mill systems and procedures for monitoring material usage in conjunction with Product Supply Analyst and Operations Co-ordinators
