Who You Are
You are an expert Computational Scientists with strong engineering skillsets who will work with other scientists and engineers to develop and deploy cutting-edge computation, Machine Learning/Deep Learning, and data engineering approaches to revolutionize our computational drug discovery tools by contributing to accelerating and improving the process of design and engineering of novel drugs.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, improve and deploy on our internal platform artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) approaches (e.g. classification, clustering, deep learning, foundation models, diffusion models, flow matching etc) on pharma research data sets (e.g. activity, function, ADME properties, physico-chemical properties, etc.)
- Building models from internal and external data sources, algorithms, simulations, and performance evaluation by writing clean code and using state-of-the art machine learning technologies.
- Develop and deploy LLMs Agentic AI.
- Close interactions with other Computational scientists, data engineers, software engineers, UX designers, as well as research scientists in core scientific platforms focusing on protein therapeutics, in an international context.
- Update and report relevant results to interdisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain a keen awareness of recent developments in data science and bioinformatics and state-of-the-art of AI/ML/DL algorithms and research results.
- Contributor to our code repositories by developing code, reviewing colleagues’ code, debugging our systems etc.
- Advanced degree (e.g. M.Sc., PhD) in a field related to AI/ML or Data Analytics such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Biophysics, Computational Biology or Engineering Sciences.
- Track record of developing, deploying and applying ML/Deep Learning (DL) approaches to solve molecule-related problems.
- Strong familiarity with advanced statistics, ML/DL techniques including various network architectures (CNNs, GANs, RNNs, Auto-Encoders, Transformers, LLM, PLM etc.), regularization, embeddings, loss-functions, optimization strategies, or reinforcement learning techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, Numpy, Matplotlib.
- Strong familiarity with data visualization and dimensionality reduction algorithms
- Familiarity with molecular structure or sequence featurization/embeddings.
- Ability to develop, benchmark and apply predictive algorithms to generate hypotheses
- Comfortable working in cloud and high-performance computational environments (e.g. AWS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, strong tropism for teamwork
- Strong understanding of pharma R&D process is a plus.

Responsibilities
As our Global Category Buyer External Manufacturing, you'll be at the forefront of our external manufacturing procurement, driving value and efficiency while building strong relationships with our Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs). You'll be responsible for:
Main responsibilities
- Lead sourcing of goods and services within External manufacturing & Supply activities
- Execute and implement contracts/agreements in the perimeter with The CDMO’s (CDMO: Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations)
- Develop, implement, and optimize sourcing strategies in support of Internal stakeholder, based on supplier, technology and market intelligence respecting global category management guidance
- Conduct supplier and technology market analysis with specific benchmarking reviews as required
- Contribute to the Sanofi Procurement sourcing team and Business Partners (lead specifiers) to build innovative category and/or sub-category strategies that have measurable benefit for Sanofi
- Anticipate and consolidate all business needs to develop action plans, execute negotiations and facilitate implementation specific to category and/or sub-category
- Ensure good execution of any category sourcing plan in line with global strategy and regional/country needs
- Deliver world class total savings objectives
- Ensure procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality) at his/her perimeter
- As per mandate of management, manage Business Reviews with identified key suppliers
- Experience: Procurement experience within the regulated industries (5 years minimum )
- Negotiation Prowess: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms and agreements
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors
- Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of financial practices and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Technical skills: Preferred demonstrated knowledge of procurement systems, processes and procedures and legal aspects including service level agreements, KPIs’
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilizing data analysis tools to extract, analyze, and interpret data to support strategic decision-making and reporting
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in French is a significant plus
