About The Job
The Head of Barcelona Hub plays a critical role in the development, execution, and transformation of Sanofi’s Business Operations (BO) and Global HUB Operations & Transition Management strategies. Particularly also for the scope expansion, which could be embedded into the BO organization or for “hosted” functions which are also leveraging the hub location.
This role reports to the Head of Hub for Budapest and oversees the organizational setup of the Barcelona hub, assist with incoming transitions there, and furthermore contributes to initiative which strive enhanced customer service, supports process efficiency and creates business value. They will be also responsible to bring Business Operation’s organizational vision to life locally and monitor trends in the local/global GBS industry.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Governance
- Together with Hub Head peers and the BO leadership, co-create and drive an ongoing Business Operations organization’s vision. Co-develop and maintain the HUB business case, ensure transitions and work placement needs are met on time and budget
- Implement and maintain Hub Governance to ensure suitable governance practices are in place in compliance with internal and external rules and regulation (incl. controls framework, Health & Safety, Corporate Social Responsibility, etc.) in alignment with respective business partners (such as P&C, Finance, Digital etc.)
- Create a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence
- Support the transition activities into the hub and ensuring collaboration with local organizations to support the transitions (in line with business case)
- Oversight and On-site escalation point for any other transition related planning and support
- Ensure required site support operations and necessary internal, external support services are in place for the operations
- Contribute to establishing and maintaining regular reporting packages and track key performance indicators, incidents striving for timely solutions
- Establish reliable internal/external relationships with the sector associations, institutes, GBS networks and government units
- Ensure the right visibility and appearance of Sanofi Business Services branding and values in the local GBS market
- Develop and promote Corporate Social Responsibility programs as well as Employee Resource Groups in the hub to promote Sanofi and its reputational image
- Support Talent Acquisition in implementing an effective recruitment strategy
- Oversee the recruitment, staffing and workforce ramp up for the hub – for embedded and hosted functions
- Contribute actively to the talent management process, support consistent identification and management of talents at hub level – both for BO embedded and hosted functions
- Improve recognition of Sanofi in the local Business Services community to attract talent, maintain partnership with universities to promote Sanofi Business, Services mission and objectives and ensure access to young talents
Professional experience:
- Proven track record and strong experience in the GBS industry, including complex global transformations, operations and/or consulting
- Solid experience in building new Hubs/Global Shared Services/Centres of excellence preferred
- Experience in creating and maintaining operating, governance model, combined with external best practice
- Proven leadership skills in large organizations
- Proven ability to think strategically and translate strategy into actionable plans
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills, working with senior stakeholders
- Developed business partnering, collaboration, trust-building and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work transversally and within a highly matrixed environment
- International experience and ability to work with a diverse team

Main Responsibilities
- Level-Specific Responsibilities (Lead)

- Risk Advisory
- Proactively engage Digital solution teams to understand their solution roadmaps and upcoming priorities
- Provide end to end solution lifecycle (SLC) support and guidance to Digital / Business solution owners and teams, including during risk profile execution, control implementation, and risk management / action planning, and across risk & compliance domains
- Advise on and support the effective risk and compliance management of third parties, including SaaS / cloud suppliers
- Closely manage the engagement lifecycle from intake through completion, prioritizing actions based on risk and urgency
- Audit, Inspection & Assurance Support
- Provide support and guidance to Digital / Business solution owners and teams during audit, inspection, and assurance activities (periodic reviews, internal control & SOX campaigns, third party assessments & contractual clauses, risk monitoring)
- Provide post-audit/assurance support for action planning
- Training & Education
- Deliver formal training sessions (online/in-person, where applicable only) or use advisory methodologies (on-the-job assistance) to educate Digital & Business teams on risk domains and risk control activities
- Participate in risk domain communities of practice to drive knowledge-sharing and cross-training on domain-specific topics
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to further enable Digital self-service and to scale & optimize SLC and controls; work with DRC process leads to drive changes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the digital risk & compliance policies, processes, & frameworks by sharing feedback from Digital and the Business with the DRC team
- Experience: Quality Management, Computerized Systems compliance (GxP, SOX, Data Privacy, Cyber), or Information Technology contributing to regulated projects or system lifecycle activities
- Soft and technical skills: Hands on knowledge of IT lifecycle approaches (including Agile practices); experience in systems validation and required controls to mitigate risks to compliance; Understanding of relevant life sciences IT risk domains and controls (e.g., GxP, Privacy, Cyber Security, SOX); Ability to identify and act on next wave of regulatory compliance risks (e.g., data science, AI, ML) Stakeholder relationship management (strong interpersonal skills)

Responsabilidades clave
- Es responsable de la estrategia y de la elaboración del Brand Plan y Strat Plan de las marcas asignadas
- Forecasting y seguimiento evolución marcas asignadas
- Gestión de la marca con los equipos de Global para obtener y proveer de información sobre los productos, estrategias y mercados

- Fijación y seguimiento de KPIs de ejecución del equipo de ventas

- Supervisar y controlar el presupuesto total asignado para su perímetro, maximizando los recursos para obtener los objetivos presupuestados

Formación y Conocimientos
