Context/Environment

Within the global Component Engineering department, the “Component Structural Analysis” team brings together multicultural engineers in Spain and Belgium. The main tasks of the group are a wide range of advanced technical evaluations and analyses carried out on major nuclear safety class components and piping. The group also provides many services within the framework of the discipline of structural mechanics, such as design activities, factory/workshop follow up and support to nuclear power plant modifications or refueling outage. Areas of expertise include structural analyses, fatigue and fracture mechanics assessments. The main examples of project involvement are long-term operation support, seismic qualification, major component replacement, and plant modifications.

Work Location: Madrid - Spain

Your work location will be at the Madrid office (San Sebastian de Los Reyes). You may be required to travel to provide engineering support directly to our teams performing activities in the nuclear power plants.

Job Description

• Member of the Component Structural Analysis group performing engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services within the structural mechanic’s field.
• Responsible for hand calculations as well as finite element analysis calculations in ANSYS to verify the qualification of nuclear power plant components to the appropriate standards.
• Thorough documentation of analyses in English.
• Propose integrated solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects.
• Participate in international project teams and communicate with relevant parties.
  
  

• MS degree in mechanical engineering
• This position is for an early career engineer (0 to 4 years of experience).
• Interested in mechanical component stress analysis, finite element analysis software for structural analysis.
• Interested in the nuclear industry
• You are fluent in English and have proven report writing skills. French is a plus but not mandatory for the position.
• Previous work experience with ANSYS APDL and/or workbench is plus
• Homeworking up to 50% of the time will be possible after 6 months (more presence in the office will be required for the first 6 months and evaluated after this period)

Buscamos un becario motivado para apoyar en la Evaluación Probabilística de Seguridad (PSA) en plantas de energía nuclear. Esta es una oportunidad única para desarrollar habilidades en el análisis de riesgos y la seguridad de instalaciones críticas, colaborando con un equipo internacional de expertos.

Responsabilidades

• Apoyar en evaluaciones de seguridad y riesgo en sistemas de plantas nucleares.
• Participar en la modelización de eventos internos y externos, como incendios e inundaciones.
• Analizar datos y utilizar modelos para proporcionar información clave a los operadores de las plantas.
• Colaborar con equipos de proyectos en tareas técnicas y de gestión de plazos.
• Elaborar informes técnicos y documentación de apoyo.

Asistente y Control de documentación

Realización de tareas administrativas y de gestión, abarcando las áreas de control de almacén, compras y MRP de fabricación. Todos estos trabajos se realizarán fundamentalmente bajo plataforma SAP.

También realización de trabajos de control de documentación, incluyendo traducción de algunos de los citados documentos.

Requisitos: titulación de administración de empresas, conocimientos de SAP y nivel de inglés B2 mínimo.

Mechanical Designer / Administrative

Job Responsibilities

Work in close conjunction with and receive directions from Engineering personnel toward applying engineering concepts of Mechanical, Systems and / or Structural designs into practicable functional graphics. Proficiency in CAD 3D and 2D.

Develop moderately complex drawings and digital models incorporating modified concepts in manufacturing, installation and/or construction engineering drawings. Prepare parts, break down and assemblies, integrate in facility layout for complete items characterized by critical mechanical, structural and / or functional clearances. Specifications can be from sketch or may be statement of end results.

Realization of engineering drawings and models for product manufacturing/constructability with the verification of: ease of interpretation, adequate illustration, necessary data, correct and necessary sizing, adequate tolerances consistent with manufacturing costs and feasibility, adequate surface finish and weld symbols, adequate material specifications and related note data, appropriate application and sizes of materials and requirements of related drawing formatting, such as bill of materials, proper approval and release of documents through project and/or department-specific procedures. Calculate dimensions, tolerances, fits, slopes, weights, bends, etc. using experimental engineering information and formula.

Coordinate the writing and document management activities, follow the progress of uploading files and drawings to the document management platforms for approval.

Interpret specifications, references, etc. in use of stablished drawing principles.

Assist in the management and recording of organizational tasks within the Team.

Occasionally take care of expense notes and track renewals of licenses and consumables.

Requirements

Education: Higher Degree in “Formación Profesional”.

Minimum: Experience in industrial projects (10 year industry & civil Projects).

Working experience using the following software: AutoCAD, REVIT & Microsoft Office Management Software.

Candidate should be EU citizen or authorized to work in Spain.

Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.
