Position Overview

The Maintenance Staff member is responsible for ensuring that the hotel’s facilities, rooms, and equipment are safe, functional, and well maintained. The role supports the smooth operation of the hotel by carrying out repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding promptly to maintenance issues.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

🛠️ Maintenance & Repairs

• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, etc.)
• Inspect guest rooms, common areas, and technical facilities to ensure proper functioning
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs

🏨 Hotel Facilities

• Maintain hotel infrastructure, including air conditioning, lighting, water systems, and appliances
• Ensure pools, gardens, and outdoor areas are maintained (if applicable)
• Coordinate with external contractors when specialised repairs are required

🔒 Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations
• Identify and report potential hazards or safety risks
• Use tools, equipment, and materials safely and correctly
• Follow fire safety and emergency procedures

📋 Preventative Maintenance & Reporting

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns
• Keep basic maintenance records and report completed work
• Inform management of recurring issues or major repair needs

🤝 Teamwork & Guest Interaction

• Work closely with housekeeping, reception, and management
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when working in guest areas
• Minimise disruption to guests during maintenance work

Skills & Requirements

• Previous experience in maintenance, building services, or a similar role
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility with working hours, including weekends or on-call duties
• Legal right to work in Spain
• Spanish and English both required
