Agile Jenkins Kotlin Git Android TDD QA Retrofit

Join Plexus Tech. We´re looking for Android developers with at least 5 years of experience in native development.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of continuous, specialized experience in native Android development
- Experience with projects consisting of libraries or that publish SDKs as a product.
- Working experience on projects requiring accessibility is essential.
- Proficiency in Kotlin as a programming language.
- Extensive knowledge of visibility and extensibility in Kotlin.
- Knowledge of Flow and Coroutines.
- Version control systems, preferably Git.
- Use of CI/CD tools: Bitrise (or similar: Github Workflow, Jenkins, etc.)
- Agile development methodologies.
- Workflow for creating/reviewing PRs and QA testing (QA).
- Architecture knowledge (MVP, MVVM, and Clean) and experience working with Compose.
- Remote data retrieval libraries: Retrofit (or similar: Ktor).
- Local data retrieval libraries: Room, DataStore, and SharedPreferences.

The Ring team is looking for a passionate and talented iOS Developer who has experience building world-class mobile apps. You will be responsible for developing mobile applications that interact seamlessly with our devices and delight our customers.

You will join the team that supports and develops the technology for our popular streaming features such as Live View, to connect customers to their Ring video doorbells and security cameras. Our goal is to ensure a fast and reliable streaming and playback experience, alongside building solutions and supporting new products that help Ring on their mission to connect people to what´s important.

Key job responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain our iOS mobile applications

- Work with team members to investigate design approaches, prototype technology and evaluate technical feasibility

- Lead architecture and design of features, from conception to launch

- Help to improve engineering processes and tools to increase team effectiveness

- Be part of an agile development process to deliver high-quality software

About the team

Focused on video and audio streaming, our team is always looking to learn and innovate. We frequently collaborate with cloud, firmware and other mobile teams to solve problems, come up with solutions and delight our customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

- Experience in professional, non-internship software development

- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

- iOS mobile application development experience in Objective-C and Swift

- Experience communicating technical problems to both technical and business audiences verbally and in writing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor´s degree in computer science or equivalent

- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

- Experience with video streaming technologies like WebRTC
