Genesy AI is a Barcelona-based startup on a mission to revolutionize how B2B sales and prospecting teams operate. Our cutting-edge AI-driven lead generation technology empowers sales teams to focus on what truly matters: selling. By automating manual prospecting, we help optimize workflows, ensuring a predictable and scalable sales pipeline—no wasted time, just results.
After successfully raising €5 million in a landmark seed funding round to grow our teams and scale in key markets.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate VP / Head of Engineering to join us.
As VP / Head of Engineering at Genesy, you'll take full ownership of our engineering organization, its people, structure, delivery, and long-term scalability. Your mission: make engineering a true force multiplier, powering fast product iteration, rock-solid reliability, and a culture of ownership and excellence.
You won't be coding day-to-day, but instead shaping how our teams operate and grow. Partnering closely with our CTO and Product leadership, you'll align technical execution with company strategy and ensure we're set up to scale.
Why is Genesy an amazing place to work?

Team Leadership & Management
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team (currently ~8 engineers, scaling to 15+)
- Hire and retain top talent; build scalable onboarding and performance frameworks
- Lead 1:1s, career growth planning, and feedback cycles
- Promote a culture of autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Own engineering delivery and process; drive consistent output across multiple product and platform teams
- Define and enforce delivery standards, quality assurance, and sprint cadences
- Track and improve key engineering KPIs (velocity, deployment frequency, incident rate, etc.)
- Partner with Product on prioritization and scoping to balance speed and stability
- Define the engineering org's structure and scale it as we grow
- Own headcount planning, budgeting, and team allocation
- Translate company strategy into actionable engineering roadmaps and staffing plans
- Foster cross-team collaboration with Product, Design, and Customer teams
- Help ensure we make pragmatic, scalable architectural decisions — even if you're not hands-on
- Guide the team through build-vs-buy, refactor-vs-replace, and long-term tech debt trade-offs
- Oversee security, reliability, and compliance practices
🔎 Must-have:
- Proven experience leading engineering teams at high-growth B2B SaaS companies
- Experience in a Senior Management, Director, VP, or Head of Engineering role
- Strong people management and org design skills; track record of scaling teams
- Deep understanding of modern software development practices
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced startup
- Not afraid to push back, challenge assumptions, and drive clarity
➕ Nice-to-have
- Experience in AI/ML-based products, or outbound sales/CRM systems
