Job Description
The successful candidate will join SIA’s Sales & Marketing team in Barcelona, Spain. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across a portfolio of travel agents, tour and cruise operators, consolidators, corporates, and TMCs. You will play a central role in strengthening commercial relationships, identifying new business opportunities, executing incentive agreements, and representing Singapore Airlines at key trade and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
• Achieve revenue, volume, and market share targets across assigned travel agency, corporate, tour operator, consolidator, and TMC accounts.
• Track and analyse account performance, ensuring accounts meet expected contribution and identifying opportunities for growth.
• Maintain strong agency and corporate relationships through regular calls, meetings, visits, events, and proactive communication on promotions, fare updates, and product developments.
• Act as a key source of competitor intelligence, monitoring market trends, pricing activity, and promotional movements.
• Plan, execute, and review business development strategies tailored to each account segment, including the use of incentives and ad-hoc fares.
• Drive joint marketing initiatives and ensure timely fulfilment of incentive contract deliverables, such as co-op campaigns and events.
• Promote and support NDC adoption to achieve targeted flown penetration rates within the assigned portfolio.
• Grow corporate revenue by enhancing corporate engagement, servicing existing accounts, and developing new prospects.
• Represent the airline at industry events, trade shows, and fairs to strengthen brand visibility and foster new business opportunities.
Requirements
• Must have the right to work and live in Barcelona, Spain.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree (any field).
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and access to their own vehicle for business-related travel. •Must be comfortable with occasional travel and attending events, including evenings and weekends, as needed
• Airline experience is preferred; commercial experience in related industries is welcome.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships effectively.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing a broad portfolio of accounts.
• Good computer skills with familiarity in GDS (Edifact) and NDC.
• Strong data orientation with the ability to analyse performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Commercially competent with a strong understanding of non-price levers, fare structures, and SIA’s value proposition in the competitive landscape.
• Highly aware of local market conditions, including competitive activity and shifts in customer preferences.
• Organized and methodical in planning frequent sales visits across the national territory.
• Personable, resourceful, results-driven, and innovative in problem-solving.
• Flexible and responsive in addressing client needs and service issues.
• Strong negotiating abilities and a collaborative mindset as part of the wider sales team.
