For one of our key clients and world leaders in materials technology, Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC) is looking for a Project Engineer to assist our client in the realization/construction of one of their megaproject which will be situated in Northern Spain.
Once the construction phase begins, full on-site presence will also be required.
This is expected to occur towards the end of this year/early next year.
Please note that you would initially work as an independent consultant (autónomo) through CMC with it being our client's intention to make the role permanent upon successful collaboration after or within the 2-year contract.
Responsibilities
They will be responsible for coordinating the design and construction of its area of responsibility & expertise and will have the following qualities:
University degree, or equivalent qualification, in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation/AutomationTechnical experience and/or background in the execution of engineering projects (of special ties above mentioned)Relevant experience and understanding in the execution of industrial projects in operational environmentsKnowledge of design software (e.g.
Requirements
AutoCad)Knowledge of EHS standards, industry good practices and legal requirements applicable to t he specialty of focusCompetent (written and verbal) in Spanish and EnglishComputer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office packageMust have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with t he rules and procedures set down.They will be working closely with the Program Director & Project Manager to fulfil the following requirements:
Prepare, revise and approve technical documentation for the design phases of projects, guaranteeing that standards, guidelines, best available, safe and cost-effective solutions are considered.Ensure that project documents are complete and optimal for a competitive and fair tender process.Support the procurement phase of specific components and works, screening from bids to good reception confirmation in support of the project management.Control costs during execution of projects.Supervise the construction, installation and commissioning of assigned projects, within its area of responsibility.Work with other Engineering teams, integrating the work with other specialties into the final project solution, assuring user deadlines are met and without unexpected delays in production,Execute all assigned tasks, planning and delivering on time, safely, efficiently, reliably and in a cost-effective manner.Make quality and timely decisions within the Engineering tasks under his/her responsibilityGather relevant data to inform the decision makers regarding complex issuesPropose improvements (procedures, organizational, new technologies, capex, productivity) as appropriate.Capture user feedback and lessons learned for future projects.Collaborates in internal and external audits.Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice.If you are up to the challenge, want to be a part of the build of an extremely unique plant, and want to immerse yourself into one of the most future ready industries, do not hesitate to apply for more information!
