CIP Terra Technologies (CTT), a division of the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently seeking an Intern for the department of Procurement, Technology and Contracting (PTC) – Strategy and Business Excellence to join our dynamic team.
The Role
We are seeking an intern to join the Strategy and Business Excellence team, supporting strategic initiatives and process improvement within PTC across all technologies and funds. This position, based in Madrid, reports directly to the PTC Head of Strategy and Business Excellence.
The role will focus on enhancing database and reporting tools, including Power BI, information management, and SharePoint, to develop systems that facilitate data-driven decision-making and reporting. Additionally, the intern will assist in presentations, management reporting and fulfilling regular and ad hoc requests to support departmental needs.
A key aspect of the role involves developing processes, guidelines and structures to enhance the PTC department in 2025 and 2026, promoting efficiency and best practices across teams and within CTT. Collaboration with various departments and stakeholders is essential to align procurement, technology, and contracting activities with broader organizational objectives.
Given the evolving work environment, flexibility are expected from both sides. A positive and proactive approach is highly valued, and the intern will have the opportunity to manage their schedule to accommodate evolving priorities.
Responsibilities will further consist of:
- Ensure database and data accuracy through cleansing and updates; maintain the master data file for decision-making and market analysis; optimize reporting tools (Power BI) and data storage and structure (SharePoint)
- Support technology roadmap development; create and manage technology factbooks (Wind Onshore, Solar, BESS); conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends and innovations
- Support with establishment of standardized supplier assessment methodologies; develop KPI frameworks and evaluation templates; maintain a comprehensive supplier database with performance scorecards
- Analyse supplier and technology performance; define and track key metrics; implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and optimize organizational value
- Manage key projects that support long-term business objectives; refine procurement processes; improve supplier partnerships to ensure alignment with company goals
- Develop and implement procurement guidelines, templates, and standardized procedures; streamline operations to enhance consistency, efficiency and best practices across the organization

The ideal candidate is completing or has recently completed a master's degree in Business Studies, Economics, or Engineering and seeks practical experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategy, and Business Excellence within a renewable infrastructure company focused on onshore wind, solar, and BESS projects.
Relevant experience or knowledge of the renewables sector is highly valued, along with a strong understanding of procurement functions, processes, data management, and database consolidation for reporting purposes. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint is preferred.
The candidate should be a strategic thinker who understands organizational needs and a highly motivated collaborator who thrives in an effective and innovative environment.
We also look for the following in a candidate:
- Experience / understanding of the procurement / technology / contracting functions
- Understanding of the infrastructure / renewable energy sector
- Proficient analytical and communication skills – advanced use of Power Point, Excel, database management and PowerBI / SharePoint
- Ability to synthesize information and present it in a concise way
- Proactive and motivated to approach tasks with urgency under limited supervision
- Advance level of English both written and spoken
- Ideal commencement date to start on the intern position will be early August / September 2025
