Tasks
Role Overview:
As a Local Writer, you will become the bridge between cultures, using your words to engage and inform, while highlighting the stories that matter most to our readers.
Your stories will resonate with readers, providing them with insightful, compelling information about culture, local news, and the daily lives of community members. Your work will not only entertain but also educate and empower, creating a sense of belonging for people from all walks of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft compelling and informative articles that spotlight community stories, events, and initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with our editorial team to develop content that aligns with our mission and core values.
- Create content that resonates with both local and international audiences, with a strong focus on cultural integration.
- Actively participate in local events and connect with community members to uncover authentic, impactful stories.
- Consistently meet deadlines while maintaining high editorial and journalistic standards.

Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a writer or journalist, preferably focusing on community topics.
- Legal eligibility to work in Spain.
- Ownership of a reliable vehicle for attending events and conducting interviews.
- Deep understanding of the community and alignment with our mission to support cultural integration and the vulnerable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a strong advantage.
- You must be based in the Costa Blanca South area.
Track Record to Be Demonstrated
- Portfolio of published articles showcasing a focus on community, culture, or social topics.
- Evidence of engagement with local or regional communities.
- Ability to produce accurate, compelling, and deadline-driven content.
