Nc State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar position within our research team investigating the epigenetic regulation of plant reproduction and seed development. The successful candidate will be expected to function as an independent researcher and make significant contributions to ongoing project objectives.

Requirements

– PhD in plant biology, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field

– Relevant laboratory experience, including training and supervision of graduate and undergraduate researchers

– Demonstrated ability to independently advance research projects

– Experience with whole-genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS) library construction and analysis

– Proficiency in data analysis, plasmid cloning, and confocal microscopy

– Practical expertise in transformation protocols for Arabidopsis, pennycress, and camelina

– Competency in basic plant care

– Strong motivation to work collaboratively and achieve high-quality scientific outcomes

– Experience mentoring and guiding students

– Ability to manage standard laboratory operations
