The VIB-UAntwerp Center for Molecular Neurology (Belgium), in collaboration with the Instituto de Neurociencias de Alicante (Universidad Miguel Hernández-CSIC, Spain), invites applications for a PhD position in a multidisciplinary project investigating the effects of food allergy on gut-brain communication and neuroinflammation. The successful candidate will study the molecular and cellular pathways linking allergic responses in the gut to brain inflammation, with the goal of elucidating their role in disease risk during early life.

Requirements

– Master’s degree in immunology, neuroscience, molecular biology, or related disciplines

– FELASA certification

– Ideally, prior experience in bioinformatics and computational biology

– Strong interest in immune-brain interactions and food allergy-related immunology

– Excellent communication skills and fluency in English

– Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in an international, interdisciplinary environment
