Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Research Assistant to join our dynamic team at EvoEnzyme. As a Research Assistant, you will work under the supervision of primary researchers who lead laboratory projects. In this role, we are looking for an individual who not only thrives in a collaborative environment but also possesses the capability to work independently and diligently.

As a Research Assistant, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, including conducting experiments, analyzing data and results, and assuming ownership of specific tasks within different projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong work ethic, the ability to work autonomously, and experience in molecular biology and protein biochemistry.

Job Responsibilities

The main responsibilities for the position are based on performing experiments to support research projects. Some of these skills are listed below:

-        Molecular biology.

-        Enzymatic activity measurements and biochemical characterization.  

-        Enzyme purification. 

-        Mutant library construction and analysis (high-throughput).

-        Protein expression on lab-bench bioreactors (yeast, bacteria).

Job Requirements

-        Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).

-        Knowledge and experience on the described research methods.

-        Ability to multitask and excellent time management skills. 

-        Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-        Ability to work independently and take initiative.
