Job descriptionAt LAKOTA Project, we develop advanced electric mobility platforms with real-time teleoperation and autonomous driving, designed for industrial, logistics and urban environments.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer – Teleoperation & Autonomous Driving to lead the design and integration of our real-time teleoperation system and its interaction with autonomous driving modules.
This is a key technical role, with direct impact on product, industrialization and real-world deployments.
Responsibilities- End-to-end system architecture: vehicle ↔ communications ↔ edge/cloud ↔ control center.
- Design and optimization of real-time video streaming and telemetry (low latency, resilience).
- Definition of 4G/5G communication strategies, QoS, traffic prioritization and redundancy.
- Integration with embedded systems and autonomous driving stacks.
- Lab and field testing, metrics definition and system monitoring.
- Technical documentation and cross-team collaboration.
Education
- Degree or Master’s in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Robotics or similar.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in low-latency, high-availability systems.
- Real-time streaming technologies (WebRTC, RTP/RTSP, GStreamer or equivalent).
- IP networking, TCP/UDP, latency/jitter analysis.
- Linux and embedded systems.
- Programming in C++ and/or Python.
Nice to have
- 4G/5G, edge computing / MEC.
- ROS / ROS2, CAN, DDS.
- Docker, distributed systems.
- Cybersecurity for connected systems.
- Automotive, mobile robotics or industrial vehicle background.
- Participation in a real product with operational deployments.
- High technical ownership and decision-making capacity.
- Advanced engineering environment (R&D + industrialization).
