I. Business Overview

MADRID IT Platform
The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.
II. Context and Role summary
Digital working is part of the CIB I&P, searches to ensure the customer has all required CORE infrastructure to work: Active Directory services, Operating System Image, messaging, and collaboration tools access, print queue management, workstation security, software deployment and patch management.

Our area is structured into two specialized teams: Data Management and AD Infrastructure & operations support. DM team is focused on implement, maintain, and evolve shared folder and DFS service. They are standardizing the shared folder permissions and structure and providing escalation support.
III. Position – Tasks & Key Responsibilities
The jobholder will be mainly in charge of migrating, maintaining, and improving the level of the File Services infrastructure platform in the EMEA region.
His/her main tasks are but not limited to:
- File Services Infrastructure operation.
- Analyse and Improve current Infrastructure
- Infrastructure Deployment and Patch management.
- Monitor performance and ensure system and service availability and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- File Services Administration tasks:
- Migrate data between Storages
- Automation.
- Manage data Lifecycle (Shared drives, NTFS Permissions, folders, files)
- Systems and services version update following life cycle.
- Explore, test and implement new version functionalities.
- Liaise with clients, vendors and other IT members for problem resolution.
IV. Professional Skills, Abilities and Experience
Essential:
The ideal candidate has a strong background on the following points:
- Strong skills and working knowledge / troubleshooting / monitoring of Data Management
- DFSR / DFSN
- Authorization
- SHARE / NTFS Permissions.
- DNS.
- Ability to solve problems quickly or automate processes.
- English language fluency required to communicate complex technical issues with International teams both verbal and written.
- An experience of at least 2 years in a Data Management & Administration will be valuable.
- Skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers.
- Skills and working knowledge of Scripting.
- Skills and working knowledge of Network trace parsing for troubleshooting.
- Skills and working knowledge of Designs and Implementations of complex architectures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to write proposals or papers and work closely with upper management.

Responsibilities
Overall responsibilities
- Opportunity to be part of a leading advisory team, assisting clients, who are mainly Iberian Financial Institutions (i.e. banks, insurance, asset managers, fintechs) in defining their long-term strategy and inorganic growth plans with views to maximising value for its key stakeholders (top management, shareholders, board members, among others)
- Be part of the team leading landmark transactions that have an impact in the future of the relevant companies in Spain and Portugal
- The work as an advisor includes two main type of tasks: (i) marketing materials, in which the team proactively presents ideas to the client, and (ii) executions, where the team advises clients in strategic transactions, which comprise sellsides, buysides, IPOs, take private, partnerships, etc.
- An analyst’s responsibility is to support the team (MD / Director / VP / Associate) in both workstreams and its specific responsibilities are:
- Conduct market research, companies research, staying informed about market and sector trends, key developments
- Understand and analyse the financial information of companies and, in particular, financial institutions
- Analyse diligently and with good judgement the information and present it in a clear and concise manner
- Prepare thoughtful presentations for clients
- Conduct financial analysis, including business projections, valuation models
- Take responsibility for the tasks delegated by VP / Associate
- Deliver best-in-class materials in a competitive industry requiring the highest standards for clients
- Prepare client presentations autonomously on the basis of guidelines and supervision of the Associate and Managing Director
- Preparation of a presentation includes (i) conducting the required research, (ii) analysing the information, (iii) preparing financial analysis, (iv) selecting the relevant information and prepare slides in a concise and self-explanatory manner, (v) reviewing the presentation with the Associate and Managing Director
- Preparation of follow ups for the client in a timely manner
- Appropriate exposure to clients when possible under direct supervision of Managing Director
- Assist Managing Director / Associate in key steps of an execution. Executions include: sellside, buyside, take private, fairness opinions, IPOs for instance
- Prepare models autonomously (trading/ transaction multiples, Business Plan and DDM) or under supervision of Associate for more complex analyses (LBO, Merger Model)
- Prepare presentations for clients in its decision making process for Top Management, Executive Committees, Board Members
- Prepare sell side materials (descriptive sections of Information Memorandum, data rooms, drafting of management presentation), buyside materials, IPO materials, valuation materials, fairness opinions, etc
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, and presentation skills
- Present and explain clearly results of research & analyses to Associate / MD
- Ability to communicate in a concise and summarised manner, giving the relevant information
- Prepare financial and valuation models for marketing purposes and executions
- Excel in modelling skills, analytical and numerical tasks, including accounting, financial and valuation techniques
- Contribute to recruitment and training of interns
- Ability to collaborate and work in team
Training:
- Strong academic background, Master Degree in Finance, Management, Economics, Engineering area/s
- Ideally successful current or past experience in FIC Corporate Finance Sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English is compulsory, any European languages a plus
- At ease with Microsoft Office tools, FactSet, Bloomberg and other information database
- Demonstrate strong interest in Corporate Finance, mergers & acquisitions, IPOs, etc and understand key responsibilities/tasks of the job
