The challenge! 🔎
Business Development:
- Responsible for in-licensing projects in Exeltis core fields (WHC and CNS) for key territories (EU, LATAM, MENA, SEA, TK)
- In-Licensing for other specialty areas: Oncology, Hematology, GI, Dermatology, Urology, Respiratory, CV, biosimilars, orphan drugs, etc
- Understanding of Exeltis local commercial needs and products fit
- Screening, identification and analysis of differentiated new assets (prescriptions drugs, medical devices or food supplements) with scientific support that allow to offer new alternatives to physicians/patients
- Benchmarks analysis.
- Competition landscape review and key differentiation.
- Establishment of business plan & sales forecasts aligned with Exeltis local teams.
- BD&L financial evaluation (FTEs, cash flow, NPV, IRR, payback).
- Key terms elaboration (term sheet, upfront & milestones)
- Review and negotiation of agreements: In licensing & supply agreements, product acquisition, development, distribution and co-marketing deals.
- Assessment and validation of projects with the board management.
- Out-licensing of innovative projects for certain territories.
- M&A opportunities identification
- Alliance management activities with key partners
Portfolio Management:
- Exeltis countries analysis
- Internal opportunities review & rationale
- Identification of new value-added assets. Fit and strategic products.
- Coordination with global and local teams: commercial, regulatory, supply, IP and legal
