This internship would suit a student looking for work alongside their studies as part of their degree (internship credit required!).
This role welcomes both full remote and hybrid work arrangements. However, applicants must be based in Spain, France, or Italy.
ABOUT THE ROLE
“Atlas” is Launchmetrics’ Data Lake, powered by Databricks. It serves as the central repository for storing, managing, and analyzing large volumes of data across the organization. Designed to empower data-driven decision-making, Atlas enables collaboration and innovation across all departments.
Reporting to our VP of Product in charge of Metrics, you’ll play a key role in helping teams across the company understand and leverage data in their day-to-day decisions. You will support this mission by providing dashboards, insights, and tools that make our data more accessible and actionable.
What you’ll do:
- Manage Metabase Support: Act as the first point of contact for teams using our BI platform (Metabase, connected to Atlas). You’ll handle permissions, invitations, and guidance requests while ensuring swift and effective resolution of any issues.
- Enable Data Literacy: Train internal teams on how to use Metabase efficiently, and document our data assets, dashboards, and best practices to foster autonomy and confidence in using data.
- Build and Maintain Dashboards: Design and maintain BI dashboards that provide meaningful insights to different teams — for example:
- Product: product measurement frameworks
- Data Operations: coverage analysis
- Marketing: brand data performance - Ensure Data Reliability: Troubleshoot inconsistencies and contribute to ensuring that data across Atlas remains accurate, reliable, and well-structured.
- Conduct Ad-Hoc Analyses: Support business and product strategies through targeted investigations that uncover insights and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Explore Smart Automation & AI Agents: Experiment with tools such as n8n or similar automation frameworks to create MCPs and design agents that help teams interact with Atlas data more intuitively — for example, automated alerts, natural-language data queries, or self-service reporting bots.
ABOUT YOU
Skills and Qualifications:
- Academic Background: You are currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Data Analysis, Information Technology, or a related field and you have some demonstrable practical experience in data analytics.
- Technical Skills: You are familiar with Metabase and ideally Databricks or similar tools, basic understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, and interest in DataLake.
- Analytical Abilities: You have strong capability to analyze data, identify patterns, and derive meaningful insights to support business decisions.
- Communication: You are able to simplify complex data concepts for various audiences.
- Problem-Solving: You demonstrate efficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues, demonstrating quick thinking and adaptability.
- Collaborative Spirit: You work effectively within a team, leveraging collaboration to meet collective goals.
- Fluency in English: You must be fluent in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication across our global team.
Extra Credit:
- You have experience with Python or R for data manipulation and ETL processes.
- You’re interested in automation and AI tools (like N8N) and eager to experiment with new ways to make data more accessible.
- You are familiar with product analytics tools, understanding the dynamics of product interaction and user experience.
