We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team building innovative eCommerce experiences.

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of full stack engineers.
- Work with and provide day to day leadership and support to an engineering team responsible for developing/delivering key features within its domain.
- Work with engineering and product leaders to drive close collaboration within the global teams.
- Drive execution to ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate across functions to support planning and road-map prioritization.
- Drive technical strategy, architecture, and execution for scalable, high-performance UI.
- Anticipate technical challenges and define strategy through long-term planning.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Continuously strive to introduce improvements and innovations to the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering OR equivalent experience.
- Fluent English speaker: most of our team doesn't speak Spanish!
- Proven experience in engineering leadership and team management.
- Experience with agile project management, development methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Nice-to-have, but not mandatory: experience with our tech stack (.NET, Azure, Angular, Kubernetes and Kafka).

This role is a field based position and so any Spanish location is considered (Madrid or Barcelona ). You will be travelling to customers on a weekly basis to meet customers, to close deals and build new partnerships. In this role you will need to be dynamic, open-minded both strategic and hands-on. You will report to the Director of Sales for Display Graphics located in Italy and be part of the European Display Graphics team.

What You Will Do

Requisitos:

Your Mission

Liderazgo Técnico:

Gestión de Proyectos:

Infraestructura e Implementación:

Buscamos un/a Service Manager senior con una sólida trayectoria en gestión de servicios tecnológicos para incorporarse a nuestro equipo en España. La persona seleccionada tendrá un papel clave en la garantía de una prestación de servicios de alta calidad, coordinando equipos multidisciplinares, optimizando recursos y asegurando una comunicación fluida con todos los stakeholders.
El rol requiere una visión estratégica del servicio, capacidad analítica y orientación a la mejora continua, apoyándose en datos, métricas y buenas prácticas del sector para maximizar la eficiencia operativa y la satisfacción del cliente. El inglés es imprescindible, ya que el entorno de trabajo es internacional.
Responsabilidades principales
- Definir, desarrollar y mantener los procesos y procedimientos de Service Management, asegurando su alineación con las mejores prácticas del mercado.
- Actuar como punto de referencia ante incidencias de servicio, consultas funcionales y escalados, liderando la resolución de problemas complejos.
- Identificar de forma continua oportunidades de mejora en los procesos de servicio e implementar acciones correctivas y evolutivas.
- Mantenerse actualizado/a en tendencias, metodologías y tecnologías relacionadas con la gestión de servicios.
- Supervisar workstreams asociados a Cloud Infrastructure y Kubernetes, garantizando rendimiento, estabilidad y escalabilidad.
- Gestionar y coordinar workstreams vinculados a Smarty DevOps y Orbis, facilitando la correcta ejecución de los procesos de desarrollo y operación.
- Colaborar estrechamente con los equipos de arquitectura SpeedCode para asegurar la alineación técnica y funcional con los objetivos de los proyectos.
- Establecer y reforzar canales de comunicación entre SMO y los equipos de soporte y mantenimiento de los distintos productos.
- Mantener un conocimiento funcional sólido de los productos para poder ofrecer soporte, criterio y orientación a los equipos.
- Gestionar y priorizar el backlog de tareas, asegurando tiempos de respuesta adecuados y una correcta planificación.
- Coordinar la carga de trabajo de tareas evolutivas, asignando recursos de manera eficiente para cumplir con los plazos comprometidos.
- Impulsar el uso de metodologías Agile, DevOps y DevSecOps en la entrega de servicios.
Requisitos del perfil
- Titulación universitaria en áreas tecnológicas.
- Más de 10 años de experiencia en posiciones similares de gestión de servicios.
- Amplia experiencia en Service Management y gestión de niveles de servicio.
- Capacidad demostrada para la resolución de problemas complejos relacionados con el servicio.
- Orientación a la calidad y cumplimiento de SLAs.
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación para actuar como nexo entre equipos técnicos y stakeholders.
- Experiencia en definición e implementación de estrategias de servicio.
- Seguimiento y análisis de métricas de servicio, KPIs y feedback de cliente.
- Capacidad para optimizar equipos y gestionar recursos de forma transversal.
- Alta capacidad de priorización y organización del trabajo.
- Conocimientos técnicos en infraestructuras cloud y Kubernetes.
- Experiencia trabajando con entornos y herramientas de Smarty DevOps y Orbis.
- Familiaridad con workstreams liderados por arquitectos SpeedCode.
- Experiencia en elaboración de reportes y seguimiento de indicadores.
- Dominio fluido de inglés y español, tanto hablado como escrito.

What You Will Do
We are looking for a Engineering Manager (Web Platform) to lead a team of engineers with a strong focus on modern web development stacks to help build and maintain the backend for our Game LiveOps platform. In this role, you’ll work closely with product teams, designers, and other disciplines to deliver high-performance tools and features that support real-time operations and engaging gameplay experiences.
- Leadership: Lead a high performing team of fullstack engineers by proposing and implementing improvements to the development processes, workflows and tools, to increase efficiency, quality and throughput.
- Collaboration: Work with Production and Product Owners to own the development cycle and identify the engineering tasks and processes needed to complete the roadmap. Maintain positive working relationships with technology teams within Scopely to improve the use of shared technologies.
- Communication: Facilitate communication both within and across disciplines. Facilitate and encourage the sharing of technical knowledge and code between projects.
- Growth: Participate in activities of recruitment, onboarding, development and professional training of the team. Define clear objectives to direct reports.
- LiveOps & Live Services: Lead the Development of features that support live game operations, empowering our designers and operators with real-time control and insights.
- Scalable Solutions: Lead the design and implementation of high-performance, low-latency web services in a cloud environment (AWS preferred) that can handle millions of players.
- Automation & Best Practices: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines design and implementation of automated tests to ensure high standards of code quality and maintainability.
- Technical Guidance: Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning to ensure best practices and continuous improvement of the engineering practices.
- Experience: professional experience as senior software engineer, with a strong foundation in programming and web development and with relevant experience in a team leadership role
- Leadership: track record of working in complex products (games is a bonus), leading initiatives from 0 to 1 with high degree of collaboration and quality with cross functional teams and multiple teams working on the same product and the same roadmap
- Backend Proficiency: hands-on experience in modern backend languages (Python strongly preferred; Go or C# also a plus).
- Web Technologies: Solid experience in the development of RESTful services and modern web frameworks (Vue.js or Angular preferred). Experience with JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, and CSS preprocessors (e.g., SCSS) is essential
- Database Expertise: experience with relational databases (MySQL/Postgres) and caching solutions (Redis), as well as other NoSQL databases like DynamoDB
- Cloud & Containers: Professional experience with containerized solutions (Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes) in a public cloud environment (AWS preferred). Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a bonus.
- Automation & CI/CD: experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and load testing for robust production deployments.
- Engineering Best Practices: Committed to enforce and practice clean, maintainable, and testable code, with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
