Chief Technology Officer
PowerUp Talent · Barcelona, ES
. Cloud Coumputing AWS Fintech
We are partinering with a high-performing technology team that is entering its next major growth chapter, combining deep engineering rigor with AI-enhanced development to unlock new levels of speed, reliability, and innovation.
We're seeking a transformational, hands-on Chief Technology Officer ready to:
- Build and execute a bold long-term tech vision
- Lead modernization of established platforms with a strong focus on security, resilience, and scale
- Embed AI-assisted engineering with governance that delivers measurable impact
- Empower engineering leadership and establish structures that fuel high developer velocity and sustainable expansion
- Turn engineering output into stakeholder-grade intelligence; building live reporting dashboards that track platform health, delivery velocity, AI productivity gains, and security posture
- Establish a transparent analytics narrative across stakeholders, translating complex system performance into clear, actionable insights for executives, investors, and corporate partners
- Own impact measurement and governance through data, implementing KPIs and reporting frameworks that quantify AI-assisted development ROI, infrastructure resilience, customer uptime experience, and transformation progress.
- Create feedback loops, not status reports, evolving stakeholder comms from passive reporting into strategic conversations powered by forecasts, trend analytics, and machine-driven engineering metrics
- Synchronize technical and business outcomes, aligning teams with measurable analytics and producing structured evaluations for resource allocation, risk, compliance, and product prioritization.
With cross-functional collaboration at its core, the culture prizes low-ego teamwork, continuous improvement, idea-driven debate, and clarity in execution. It’s a team built for problem-solvers who love unlocking performance, from systems, processes, and people alike.
The ideal leader possesses experience in scaling up, architectural depth, skills in modernising legacy systems, cloud expertise (especially AWS), and a data-driven approach to strategic decision-making.
We're seeking a CTO who can shape the technology evolution of a forward-thinking fintech player by amplifying engineering excellence through AI-enhanced development, scalable systems, and a culture of shared ownership.
The company operates with a multicultural, hybrid, and remote-first mindset, supported by corporate backing while keeping operational independence, agility, and product focus.
If you're ready to sculpt the future of fintech engineering with equal parts vision, curiosity and technical ownership, this is your arena.

At Proton, we believe that privacy is a fundamental human right and the cornerstone of democracy. Since our inception in 2014, founded by a team of scientists from CERN, we have dedicated ourselves to providing free and open-source technology to millions worldwide, ensuring access to privacy, security, and freedom online.
Our journey began with Proton Mail, the largest secure email service globally, and has since expanded to include Proton VPN, Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, and Proton Pass. These tools empower individuals and organizations to take control of their personal data, break away from Big Tech’s invasive practices, and defeat censorship.
