The role
As a Senior Sales Engineer at Ping Identity, you'll merge your enthusiasm for identity management with a commitment to customer success. In collaboration with our dynamic sales team, you will engage in customer meetings, demonstrations, and proof of concepts, showcasing the business and technical benefits of our solutions. Your role is pivotal in enabling personal, team, and customer achievements through insightful and innovative solutions that meet technical and business needs.
This role offers the chance to showcase your technical and consultative skills, engaging with stakeholders of various roles and levels to understand and meet their technical requirements with cutting-edge solutions. Your expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies will be key in delivering impactful solutions that align with customer business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations, presentations, technical guidance, proofs of concept, and RFx responses
- Be the go-to technical expert on solutions for customers, partners, and internal teams
- Establish enduring relationships with customers and become their trusted advisor
- Collaborate with the sales team to deliver revenue. Emphasis during key sales cycle phases of: Qualification, Discovery, and Technical Proof Phase
- Coordinate, throughout sales cycle, pre-sales efforts with a post-sales service delivery team
- Meeting, both virtually and in-person to deliver presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and demonstrations of Ping solutions and their value to customers, partners, and industry events
- Provide insightful feedback on product enhancements and customer needs to product owners.
- Develop subject matter expert level knowledge of at least one of Ping Identity's solutions
- Able to travel up to 30% of the time (typically less)
- Significant experience with enterprise-level software systems in a customer-facing role, such as pre-sales or consulting
- Demonstrable interest and experience in computer security or cybersecurity, applied or theoretical.
- Knowledge of open standards and protocols relating to identity and security would be beneficial. You may have encountered OAuth or OpenID Connect, for example, or had experience implementing social login or Single Sign-On.
- Familiarity with using REST APIs and working with JSON data to integrate with web services is essential. Experience with modern programming/scripting languages is an advantage.
- Knowledge of key foundational infrastructure and networking technologies such as virtual machines, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancers, proxies, etc.
- Experience with one or more typical cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, and deployment technologies such as Kubernetes and Terraform would be beneficial.
- Engaging interpersonal and customer service skills: verbal, written, and listening/understanding, alongside good objection handling and solution discovery skills.
- Ability to relate proposed solution technical capabilities back to customer needs in a narrative style
- Ability to work with a high level of self-direction and/or collaboratively with team and customers
- A passion for learning; the ability to learn in a self-directed way and to seek out help and guidance when it is required.
- Fluent in Spanish and located in Spain, with ability to easily travel to Madrid or Barcelona. Portuguese knowledge would be a plus.

Your mission is to build, lead, and grow our new business line as a Sales Engineer - Hygienic Food & Beverage - Spanish Market:
- Pioneer the Portfolio: Take full ownership of the Hygienics customer portfolio and lead the strategic introduction of our pumps, a key new product company member, into the Spanish market.
- Leverage Current Strength: Start from our existing offering, which includes our diaphragm pumps and dosing systems and other centrifugal and lobe pumps, which have already secured inroads with key Spanish players.
- Drive Sector Performance: Define and execute the commercial strategy to amplify our performance across all hygienic applications. This includes, but is not limited to, Food and Beverage, and extends decisively into high-value sectors such as Healthcare, Body Care, and Pharmaceutical.
- Meet Objectives: Agree upon and execute a detailed commercial strategy with management to meet our ambitious objectives for turnover and market share.
- Build the Future: Your ultimate goal is not just to introduce our Pumps successfully, but to leverage your success and experience to build a dedicated team around this new business line, establishing new routes to market and preparing for the future integration of specialized products like progress cavity pumps, twin screw pumps, and gear pumps.
- The main first step is the successful introduction into the Spanish Market (target and prospect customers, pertinent quotations, and technical & commercial alignments) of our new Product Company member.

Presentar los recubrimientos y servicios de la empresa a los clientes, demostrando sus características técnicas y beneficios. - Negociación de ofertas/contratos: participar en la negociación de ofertas/contratos con clientes, asegurándose de que se cumplan los requisitos técnicos y comerciales y que se establezcan acuerdos justos para ambas partes.
- Desarrollo de nuevos recubrimientos y servicios: trabajar con el equipo de investigación y desarrollo de la empresa para desarrollar nuevos recubrimientos y servicios que satisfagan las necesidades de los clientes y del mercado. También en este caso, podrá colaborar con las funciones de apoyo del grupo (CSC, Segment Managers, etc.).
- Análisis de mercado: realizar análisis de mercado para identificar las tendencias y oportunidades del mercado. Colaborar en el análisis de la competencia, identificando las fortalezas y debilidades de los competidores y definiendo estrategias para hacer frente a la competencia y el modo de cómo la empresa puede diferenciarse.
- Gestión de proyectos: ser responsables de la gestión de proyectos, asegurándose de que se cumplan los plazos, se cumplan los requisitos del cliente y se mantengan los estándares de calidad.
- Servicio postventa: ofrecer un servicio postventa de alta calidad, asegurándose de que los clientes estén satisfechos con los productos y servicios y resolviendo cualquier problema o queja que puedan tener.
