Portfolio Analyst
Your Responsibilities
- Analyse fund documentation and assess real assets transactions in the fields of fund of funds, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, renewable energies, or private debt;
- Assess the eligibility of the proposed investment in terms of strategy, investment objectives, liquidity, ownership and/ or sustainability;
- Perform initial and on-going AML /KYC/ TF and Sanctions checks;
- Process subscription documents, fill out AML/ KYC check lists, tax forms or any other related to the subscription document;
- Update, maintain and improve existing Excel based portfolio management cash flow models / liquidity management tools (DCF);
- Monitor and manage the liquidity of the fund on daily basis, evaluate the financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts;
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reporting, tools, and Excel dashboards;
- Work closely with the senior portfolio management personnel to ensure sound decision-making process;
- Support by the implementation of regulatory changes.
- 0 - 5 years of business finance or other relevant experience;
- BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics);
- Relevant professional experience in the analysis and monitoring of transactions in the alternative assets space ideally gained by an investment manager, fund servicer or consulting company;
- Profound knowledge of the regulatory framework regarding alternative investment funds (AIFMD);
- Good understanding of valuation models for alternative assets;
- Strong command of the MS-Office suit in particular Excel;
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills;
- Interest in capital markets and investment fund products;
- Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow;
- Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of any other European language in particular German will be considered as an asset.

(Senior) Central Administration and Depositary Oversight Officer
An opportunity has arisen within Management Company area of FundRock Management Company/ FundRock LRI within Apex Group.
The function of the role will be to ensure the day to day activities within the Central Administrator Oversight team are successfully achieved and client deadlines are met in a timely and accurate manner. This will include, but will not be limited to - ensuring SLA and defined deadlines are achieved in order to meet the Management Companies regulatory requirements and obligations.
The role encompasses vast exposure to Investment Funds in multiple geographical locations domiciled within the Luxembourg and Ireland Financial Sector.

Technical Knowledge/ Technical Capabilities:
- Perform ongoing oversight on delegated service provider such as Central Administrator and Transfer Agents as well as depositary banks. Perform data analysis for due diligence (initial and ongoing) including review and assessment.
- Review of accounting data/ KPI of mostly liquid investment funds
- Ensuring provided data and supporting procedures are accurate and kept up to date
- Anticipate potential risk and impact on the external net asset value calculation procedures, escalate issues and contribute to resolution of problems
- Initial reviewing and preparing various reports, such as i.a. financial statements and capital accounts, Management Information. Report to management on operational risk assessment
- Develop, adapt and improve appropriate risk-based control regime for each assigned service provider and client Fund by analysing internal and external data – i.e. control and auditing reports
- Follow-up with service providers regarding any issues raised until resolution
- Maintain regular service calls with clients and service providers. Performing onsite visits and process reviews jointly the team
- Assist in developing measures to restructure and align Management Company services to meet future client, regulatory and business needs
- Achieve high quality in all services provided to clients
- Strong academic background including in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Legal or comparable studies
- Professional experience in the area of (fund) accounting, depositary or audit
- Knowledge of European Regulator Investment Products, UCITS, AIFMD and Fund regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, analytical and critical thinking skills with high client and service orientation
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Ability to multi-task
- Highly motivated, driven and focused with a desire for new challenges
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages in particular French and/or German are considered an asset

Role summary:
The role is part of the Apex Corporate Solutions team reports to the Head of Operations Corporate Solutions based in Madrid (Spain).
This role acts as an international accountant, supporting other jurisdictions with month end reporting, intercompany, business support, working capital management and assist the Head of Operations Corporate Solutions and other jurisdictions finance teams as required.
Key responsibilities:
- As your main focus you will be responsible for all accounting matters for client companies, such as bookkeeping, assistance in the preparation of accounting reports and Annual Accounts, preparation of payments, assistance in the preparation of withholding tax returns and VAT returns; etc.;
- Communicate with clients, tax advisors, lawyers, notaries, other professionals, government institutions and other Apex offices worldwide;
- Assist auditors in case of audits performed on client companies as well as tax advisors;
- Maintain and develop a good network of internationally established clients;
- Involvement in other aspects of client work such as corporate legal and tax.
- Bachelor’s Degree and from one- or two-years’ experience in an accounting position; exposure to tax driven structures is a definite advantage;
- Excellent work attitude, quick and willing learner and proficient team player;
- Ability to take initiative; eagerness to pay attention to detail and going the extra mile in all aspects of the role;
- Strong financial/accounting and analytical skills;
- Commercial, dynamic attitude and excellent communication skills;
- Able to work in a team and autonomously;
- Able to set priorities, be flexible and highly accurate;
- Knowledge of Real Estate accounting systems e.g., Yardi, Navision is a plus;
- Spanish GAAP;
- C1 English a must; Advanced use of English, written and spoken;
