The Nanochembio Group at the University of Granada invites applications from talented candidates for a fully funded FPU 2025 PhD fellowship (Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation). We are recruiting a candidate passionate about diagnostic innovation and precision medicine.

Project Overview:

The doctoral project aims to design, synthesize, and validate multifunctionalized nanoparticles for the selective detection of disease biomarkers, bridging nanotechnology and clinical diagnostics. The work will involve a combination of:

• Nanoparticle engineering and surface functionalization
• Biomolecular interaction studies
• Development of diagnostic platforms for biomedical applications
• Advanced data analysis in diagnostic contexts

This research sits at the intersection of chemistry, nanotechnology, and biomedicine, and offers ample space for creativity, publication, and international exposure.

Who Should Apply?

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nanoscience, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines. We seek individuals with:

• A strong academic record
• Interest in interdisciplinary research
• Effective communication skills in English
• Prior experience in laboratory research or nanomaterials is desirable but not mandatory.
