About WELZ
WELZ is a Spanish alternative investment manager focused on specialty finance opportunities across asset-backed credit, real assets, and private equity. The firm applies a relative value approach to sourcing and investing in private markets, with a focus on small and middle-market quality sponsors across multiple real estate asset classes.
The Role
As an Investment Analyst, you will join the investment team and play a key role in the company’s growth. This is a diversified position involving investment sourcing, analysis of new opportunities, and participation in transaction negotiation and execution.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the investment sourcing process, including preliminary feasibility studies and detailed operational and financial analysis
- Build, update, and run financial models, including sensitivity analyses, and present clear, structured recommendations to management
- Prepare investment memoranda and marketing materials for investment committee review
- Support and manage relationships with external stakeholders such as developers, advisors, and other partners
Requirements
- Degree in business, engineering, economics, finance, or a related field with strong academic performance
- Strong motivation to contribute to a growing company and alignment with WELZ’s investment philosophy
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented attitude
- Ability to perform well in fast-paced, high-responsibility environments
- Strong learning agility and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Naturally curious, analytical, and continuously seeking improvement
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken); additional European languages (Portuguese, Italian, French) are a plus
- High attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- Availability to start within a reasonable timeframe
