POSITION OVERVIEW
The Head of Shared Services, Europe is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing and managing HR services for the Europe region. The successful candidate will be accountable for overseeing and optimizing payroll, recruitment & onboarding, employee lifecycle, benefits and mobility administration for all the sales organizations in multiple countries in Europe. The role requires an ability to manage a sizable team, develop scalable HR services, streamline processes, enhance data quality and consistency, and deliver an exceptional employee experience in Europe
In addition to managing the HR team, the Head of Shared Services, the successful candidate will also provide thought leadership and collaborate with the global COE team to standardize local compensation and benefits design, local policies, and labor practices.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven ability to lead and motivate teams. They should also have a deep understanding of HR processes, technologies, and best practices. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the HR Shared Services function aligned with the overall HR and organizational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business needs and ensure HR Shared Services align with organizational objectives.
HR Service Delivery:
- Oversee end-to-end HR service delivery, including but not limited to employee onboarding, benefits administration, HR data management, payroll processing, employee inquiries, global mobility, HR policy interpretation, recruiting and training.
- Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure service quality, timeliness, and compliance.
- Implement best practices to enhance the employee experience and ensure consistent delivery of HR services across the organization.
Local Policy and HR Practice Harmonization
- Act as an advisor to employees and management, where you are responsible in providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
- Collaborate with global COE to harmonize compensation and benefits design, local policies and labor practices.
Process Optimization and Technology:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the HR Shared Services function.
- Evaluate and implement HR systems and technologies to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and self-service capabilities.
- Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration and maintenance of HR systems.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and data privacy requirements.
- Develop and implement controls and procedures to mitigate operational and compliance risks within HR Shared Services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and evolving best practices in HR Shared Services, recommending proactive measures to address emerging challenges.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within HR Shared Services, preferably in a large multinational organization.
- Prior experience in payroll management or COE C&B experience will be a plus.
- In-depth understanding of Europe employment laws, regulations, and data privacy requirements.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, including employee lifecycle management, benefits administration, payroll, and HRIS.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, automation, and implementation of HR systems.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Proactive mindset, with the ability to drive change, manage ambiguity, and adapt to a dynamic business environment.
