Position Overview

The Barback plays a crucial behind-the-scenes role in ensuring the bar team delivers smooth, fast, and top-tier service throughout every shift.

As the bartender’s right hand, your mission is to create a seamless working environment by keeping all bar stations impeccably stocked, clean, and organized. You thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments and take pride in anticipating the needs of the bar team before they even ask.

You may not always be in the spotlight, but your support is absolutely essential to creating the elevated beverage experiences our brand is known for. Energetic, hands-on, and detail-oriented, you’ll ensure the bar runs like a well-oiled machine while upholding the brand’s unique spirit and vibe.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all bar stations are fully stocked with spirits, beverages, garnishes, ice, glassware, and essential tools before and during service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar throughout the shift, in line with our brand’s hygiene and aesthetic standards
• Refill ice bins, juice stations, mixers, and bar tools proactively
• Assist bartenders in mise en place: cutting fruit, prepping syrups, arranging herbs, and setting up ingredients
• Collect and return used glassware from guest areas promptly, ensuring quick turnaround for reuse
• Keep bar counters, sinks, shelves, and tools sanitized and polished at all times
• Support trash disposal and recycling procedures according to SOPs
• Follow bar-specific opening, service, and closing checklists
• Respond to bartender requests with urgency to keep service flowing
• Refill non-alcoholic stations and maintain ice machines and coolers during operations
• Help organize and restock inventory in bar storage areas
• Uphold personal presentation and hygiene to brand standards
• Join daily briefings and participate in team trainings
• Assist with closing duties: cleaning, breakdown, and stock counts
• Exhibit a strong sense of teamwork, positivity, and flexibility
• Follow all SOPs and instructions from Bar Supervisors or Managers
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the bar so bartenders can focus on guest engagement and cocktail execution
  
  

Required Qualifications And Competencies

• Previous experience in a hospitality or bar support role preferred
• High energy, proactive attitude, and willingness to learn
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail, cleanliness, and efficiency
• Understanding of bar operations and basic ingredient prep is a plus
• Fluency in English is mandatory; other languages such as Spanish or German are a plus
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift heavy items (ice bags, crates) and work on your feet for extended periods
