Data Scientist

Contract: Long Term Contract

Location: Madrid

Travel Required : Up to 80 percent

You will work on challenging data and analytics problems, applying statistical, machine-learning and advanced analytical techniques while collaborating with technical teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Machine Learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems.
• Apply statistical and data-mining techniques to analyse complex datasets.
• Develop innovative algorithms and analytical solutions, including solutions from scratch where required.
• Work with large datasets and relational databases.
• Perform advanced analytics to identify trends, patterns and actionable insights.
• Analyse issues, identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear and practical recommendations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, technical teams and clients to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously explore new approaches, technologies and methodologies to improve analytical solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Python for Data Science, Machine Learning and advanced analytics.
• Experience with R and/or Scala.
• Strong understanding of statistical and data-mining techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning and advanced analytics.
• Experience working with large datasets.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience developing algorithms and analytical models.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to explain complex data and technical concepts clearly.
• A quantitative/technical degree such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent experience.
