Our team is focused on insights to innovation, the earliest stages of the product lifecycle. We uncover pain points and apply design-thinking frameworks to pioneer and experiment with new concepts, business models, and market opportunities where HP has the right to play—and win.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in user research analysis uncovering insights from interviews, surveys, and observations.
- Research macro trends and global drivers shaping the Future of Work.
- Collaborate with team members to ideate and generate creative ideas and conceptualize advanced concepts: new ways to do things; new products; new form factors; new experiences.
- Apply design thinking methodologies to understand user needs, generate insights, and develop innovative solutions. Support in the planning and facilitation of workshops and co-creation sessions.
- Create storyboards, sketches and/or prototypes to visualize concepts for testing and iteration.
- Support in the creation of presentations to articulate the different findings and design concepts.
- Generate assets to document the different concepts in preparation for testing and creation of proofs of concept.
- Test new AI tools regularly and evaluate their potential applications to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and creativity for work.
- Recent Graduate in Industrial Design, Experience Design, User Experience, Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering or a related field.
- Work experience is not required, but appropriate internships related to the job content would be a plus.
- Fluent in English.
- Solid knowledge in MS Office.
- Knowledge in digital tools to represent concepts such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Generative AI tools, etc. 3D visualization and ID rendering would be a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills: capacity to communicate and collaborate in a work force but also able to work in an autonomous and self – sufficient manner.
- Proactive, curious, and fast - learner person: Capacity and eagerness to learn new things and be in different environments and workforces learning in a fast pace.
- Solid adaptability and change management skills: Adapt quickly in a dynamic environment being able to think critically for the creation of solutions in unpredicted problems/circumstances.
- Comfortable navigating uncertainty and complex challenges. Have experience applying design thinking methodologies and tools to solve problems.
- Strong interest in the Future of Work and a passion for creating innovative solutions. Interest in Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight is a plus.

Specific project context
Given the context of engaging communities in open technologies and participatory practices, Fab Lab Barcelona launched the Smart Citizen in 2012 to empower communities to better understand their environment by offering an alternative to the centralised data production and management systems used by the large corporations that constitute the driving force behind the bright city concept. The project set the groundwork for the newly European Horizon-funded CitiObs, TwinAir and Elaborator projects.
- CitiObs is a community-driven project aimed at enhancing urban environments through participatory sensing and data collection, leveraging local knowledge to inform sustainable urban development.
- TwinAir project focuses on improving air quality monitoring through advanced sensor networks, fostering a collaborative approach between citizens, researchers, and policymakers to address environmental challenges.
- Elaborator will provide European pilot cities with tools to monitor innovative urban green infrastructure solutions.
Those projects are integral to Fab Lab Barcelona's mission at IAAC, demonstrating innovative uses of technology to empower communities and contribute to healthier, more sustainable cities.
Fab Lab Barcelona was the first Fab Lab founded in the European Union in 2007 and is a benchmark in the powerful network of over 2000 Fab Labs in over 100 countries. It supports the co-creation of circular solutions around specific challenges, creating safe spaces for citizens to express their needs, design, prototype and experiment with solutions that have a real and positive impact on their territories.
Main Responsibilities
- Overseeing the project's sensor deliveries, encompassing device testing, validation, and analysis of test data.
- Assisting in the assembly and manufacturing processes of sensor orders, including monitoring supply stock and facilitating purchasing.
- Providing support to the Smart Citizen community and partners, addressing specific needs related to the pre and post delivery of sensors.
- Creating tools to streamline the manufacturing and testing processes for sensor units.
- Engaging in additional internal initiatives aimed at designing, testing, and validating environmental sensing instruments.
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications
- Proficient understanding of sensors and monitoring devices, especially those related to environmental sensing in air and water quality.
- Solid foundation in embedded electronics and pertinent concepts.

The Role
We're seeking an ambitious and driven Strategic Partner Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, your primary responsibility will be to engage with our essential regional strategic partners, focusing on maximising the potential of our collaborative business ventures. Your role involves nurturing and expanding these partnerships within our ecosystem, serving as the primary liaison for all partnership-related activities. You will manage key stakeholder relationships throughout various initiatives, including partner programs, marketing campaigns, integration development, and the implementation of innovative strategies. As a pivotal figure in these partnerships, your goal will be to drive growth and achieve our key business objectives.
What will you be doing?
- Act as the primary point of contact for key EU and UKI partners, ensuring the mutual objectives of TravelPerk and partners are met and exceeded.
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance partnership potential and shape overall partnership strategy.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders across multiple teams and departments to drive metrics and finalise co-sold agreements.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics for partners, conducting regular reviews with senior leadership.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align partnerships with the company's strategic goals.
- Create and refine internal processes and workflows to optimise team operations and enhance partnership value.
- Oversee partnership go-to-market aspects, ensuring timely achievement.
- Strategies for revenue growth through partnerships, setting and tracking goals and KPIs for long-term partnership success.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify new partnership opportunities.
- Solid experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Have a background in building and evolving high-performing partnerships.
- Being a native or near-native English speaker, written and spoken, we would also value other languages like French, German and Spanish.
- Excellent skills in building stakeholder relationships and negotiation.
- Strong in data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
- Experienced in developing partnerships across varying company sizes.
- Capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects efficiently.
- Good understanding of business fundamentals, marketing, and finance.
- Comfortable in dynamic environments and able to operate independently.
- Adept at creating strategic plans and managing high-level stakeholders.
- Proficiency in API integrations and understanding of the current ecosystem.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning, testing, and scaling.
