Job Description: Marketing Director – Spain
Our client is a global leading automotive company that is ambitiously expanding its presence in the Spanish market. The Marketing Director will lead all marketing activities across a portfolio of commercial specialty vehicle brands in Spain. The role oversees brand strategy, campaign planning, digital performance, lead generation, media relations, and manufacturer collaboration. It requires managing several brands simultaneously, each with its own identity, audience, and manufacturer expectations.
This position carries significant strategic impact. The Marketing Director must balance the priorities of multiple manufacturers, preserve the distinctiveness of each brand within a shared commercial structure, and ensure that all marketing activity translates into measurable business outcomes. Close partnership with the Country Manager and sales leadership is essential, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders from diverse business cultures.
Key Accountabilities
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-brand marketing strategies aligned with manufacturer requirements and Spanish business objectives, ensuring tight coordination with the Country Manager and sales teams.
- Define and adapt brand positioning, messaging, and identity for the Spanish market, leveraging market insights and competitive analysis to ensure differentiation.
- Lead end-to-end digital marketing across SEO, SEM, social media, and email campaigns, driving continuous optimization and performance reporting across all brands.
- Drive lead generation and sales enablement through targeted demand-generation programs, refreshed marketing collateral, and impactful events aligned with commercial goals.
- Manage PR, media relations, and crisis communications, building strong relationships with key automotive stakeholders, associations, and industry media.
- Serve as the primary liaison with manufacturers and external agencies, ensuring alignment, timely execution, and collaboration across diverse cultural and operational expectations.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Education
- University degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualification (MBA or Master’s in Marketing/Digital Marketing) preferred.
- Additional training in automotive technology, electric mobility, or product management is a plus.
Professional Experience
- Solid marketing experience in the automotive sector or related industries in Spain, with a proven track record of delivering results in B2B environments.
- Experience managing multiple brands simultaneously, each with distinct guidelines, product timelines, and commercial expectations.
- Proven success introducing new brands or products into the Spanish market—from go-to-market planning through full execution and performance tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop a marketing team in a dynamic environment.
- Experience managing external agencies and manufacturer teams from different cultural backgrounds.
Role-Specific Skills
- Strong understanding of the Spanish automotive market, including commercial vehicles, fleet buying behavior, competitive dynamics, and customer decision processes.
- Proficient in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, CRM systems, marketing automation, SEO/SEM platforms, social media tools).
- Familiarity with Spanish regulatory frameworks for commercial vehicles (ZBE, MOVES III, PERTE VEC, public procurement processes, urban access rules).
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to run multiple campaigns simultaneously while ensuring quality and prioritization.
- Comfortable managing budgets, reporting performance metrics, and adhering to governance requirements linked to manufacturer partnerships.
- Ability to work in a multicultural, fast-paced environment and adapt communication styles as needed.
Languages
- Spanish: Native or bilingual proficiency (essential).
- English: Advanced (C1+) for daily communication with manufacturers and international teams.
