The Job's Mission

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Associate will be working together with the local Indirect Channel and Product specialist, rolling out and managing the business for the Trauma & Extremities division in Valencia. This individual is responsible for driving sales growth and profitability by providing expert advisory support to customers. Ensure strategic budget management, conduct market research, and oversee advertising and promotional activities. Contribute to the development and execution of the annual sales plan.

About The Role

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Sell and demonstrate medical equipment in surgical and clinical environments.
  • Acquire new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Provide high-quality consultation to physicians, surgical staff, and hospital administrators, ensuring both qualitative service and sales growth.
  • Organize and conduct product trainings, surgical support, and workshops.
  • Identify and generate new needs for customers through consultative selling.

Strategic & Operational Execution

  • Plan, execute, and monitor all necessary actions to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Conduct price negotiations and prepare contracts within company guidelines, through to contract conclusion.
  • Ensure proper coordination of logistics and product distribution, including conditional stock, deposits, and kits, with support from relevant managers.
  • Optimize resource management in the assigned area, including product kits, advertising & promotions (A&P), and representation expenses.
  • Monitor hospital management processes and ensure alignment with sales strategies.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to company pricing policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide regular sales reports to sales managers, adapting strategies based on market conditions.
  • Take responsibility for product withdrawals, phase-outs, and recalls when necessary.
  • Uphold the company’s brand image and corporate values in all professional interactions.
  • Supervise the proper segregation of waste within the department, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Qualifications/Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Administration, Sales or Marketing, pharma, biology, bio-engineering or related experience/training in a medical, scientific, technical field
  • Sales experience in Medical Devices or Pharma working with hospitals, strongly preferred
  • Native or C2 level of Spanish and advanced level of English (B2 min)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with implants
  • Experience working with tenders in regulated environments
  • MBA or Masters
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare or medical devices industry
  • Fluent level of English

Role details:

  • Territory: Valencia region
  • Base Location: Valencia
  • Type: 100% Field
  • Travel percentage: 80% daytrips - 20% overnight stay
  • Presence in OR: 60%
