Tech Pipeline identifies and repairs the specific points where business operations break down. We are currently assisting a major European fintech group with a series of technical bottlenecks in their internal transaction processing and approval chains. This fully remote Project Manager Intern role centers on organizing the practical, daily tasks required to clear these backlogs and ensure the ground truth of their data remains consistent.
About the role
Many companies experience friction when their growth outpaces their existing internal systems. In this role, you will help us address those gaps by looking directly at the systems our fintech client is using. You will not be building high level strategy decks or abstract frameworks. Instead, you will be tracing the problem through logs and manual work steps to find where the numbers start to drift. This is a chance to see the technical reality of how a large financial organization functions while working in a fully remote environment. Your focus will be on the specifics: why an approval is stuck in a specific queue, which routing rule is misfiring, and how we can document the fix so the client can manage it once we are gone.

What you will be doing
  • Tracking every task in our project backlog to ensure nothing is missed during the fintech system overhaul.
  • Reading through system logs and transaction records to find where data entries are failing to sync properly.
  • Updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) so that client operators have a clear source of truth for new workflows.
  • Checking daily reconciliation reports to ensure that financial data matches across internal systems and databases.
  • Coordinating with technical staff to document the specific logic used in new routing rules for payment approvals.
  • Preparing clear, written weekly updates that summarize what was fixed and what specific tasks remain in the backlog.
  • Helping to organize the final handover documents that will allow the client team to run the system independently.
  • Verifying that system fixes actually resolve the friction experienced by the client's operations team.

What we need from you
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely without using corporate jargon or excessive filler.
  • A practical approach to problem solving that favors specific, concrete fixes over abstract ideas.
  • High attention to detail, specifically when comparing two different sets of data or looking for errors in logs.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote setting where most communication happens asynchronously.
  • Basic familiarity with spreadsheet functions to help organize and filter large lists of tasks or data points.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to keep a checklist or project tracker updated in real time.
  • Honesty about what you do not know and a willingness to ask questions until a process makes sense.

Helpful background
  • Studies in business operations, finance, information systems, or a related technical field.
  • Previous experience with project management tools or task trackers during university or through personal projects.
  • An interest in how fintech companies manage large volumes of transactions and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of how software integrations or database connections move data between different platforms.

What the role offers
  • A paid internship with pay that is attractive and competitive for the role and your local market.
  • Practical experience working on a high stakes project for a major European fintech group.
  • The flexibility of a fully remote work schedule that focuses on specific output rather than hours spent at a desk.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced operators who specialize in fixing broken technical processes.
  • Exposure to real world financial systems and the operational challenges of scaling a modern tech stack.
  • A work culture that values clear documentation and deep work over constant, unnecessary meetings.

Working at Tech Pipeline
At Tech Pipeline, we value documentation over long meetings. We do not believe in daily check ins that take up half the morning. Instead, we use written updates to keep everyone informed about the state of our projects and the progress we are making. Our goal is to leave every system better than we found it and then hand over the keys to the people who use it every day. We stay very close to the technical details of the work and expect everyone on the team to be comfortable looking at the actual logs and configurations of the systems we fix. Success here means identifying the source of truth, removing the friction, and making sure the solution sticks long after our engagement ends. We work remotely, but we stay highly connected through the clarity of our written communication and our focus on concrete results.
