This role will report into the CPTO and will require working closely with Heads of various Business functions.

The Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing scalable data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The position requires strong skills in Python for data engineering and SQL, as well as experience with AWS.

Required skills:

• Based in Madrid;
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation and ETL development;
• Advanced SQL skills, experience with DBT (Data Build Tool or similar) for data transformation and modelling;
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Athena, and MWAA;

En Menhir Technologies buscamos un Junior AI Engineer con ganas de aprender y de construir producto real. Trabajarás codo a codo con ingenieros senior para llevar casos de uso de IA y agentes conversacionales desde el prototipo hasta producción, con un plan claro de mentoría y crecimiento.

Tasks

Participar en el ciclo completo de una solución de IA: comprensión del problema, preparación de datos, experimentación, evaluación, documentación y soporte en el despliegue.

Colaborar con Producto, Data e Ingeniería para convertir requisitos en historias de trabajo y definir métricas de éxito.

Preparar y asegurar la calidad de datos (limpieza, validaciones, muestreos) y apoyar procesos de etiquetado.

Contribuir a la evaluación de modelos y agentes (tests offline/online, A/B, conjuntos de validación) y a la definición de guardrails básicos.

Ayudar a instrumentar observabilidad: métricas, logs y alertas para detectar degradaciones y drift.

Ejecutar playbooks de retraining y versionado, registrar experimentos y elaborar resúmenes claros de resultados.

Escribir documentación simple y útil; participar en code reviews y pedir feedback con frecuencia.

Mantenerse al día de buenas prácticas de IA/ML y proponer pequeñas mejoras en procesos o calidad del código.

Requirements

🧠 Requisitos:

Buenas bases de programación en Python (estructuras de datos, testing básico, manejo de paquetes).

Conocimientos de control de versiones con Git/GitHub y exposición a pipelines de CI/CD (por ejemplo, GitHub Actions).

Fundamentos de diseño e integración de APIs REST.

Interés demostrado en agentes de IA y su ciclo de vida (experimentación, evaluación, despliegue y monitorización).

Capacidad para trabajar con datos: consultas, transformaciones y validaciones (pensamiento analítico).

Inglés avanzado (documentación, lectura técnica y comunicación básica con clientes/equipo).

Excelencia académica demostrable.

Nociones de desarrollo de APIs con FastAPI.

Familiaridad con frameworks de agentes (LangChain y LangGraph).

Interés/experiencia en orquestación de ETLs (p. ej., con workflows).
