🎯 Qué harás

• Diseñar y entregar soluciones de IA, equilibrando latencia, coste y precisión.
• Ser responsable de la observabilidad de la IA de principio a fin: trazas, frameworks de evaluación y mejora rápida de lo que ya está desplegado.
• Buscar de forma constante oportunidades de optimización, tanto en el código como en los sistemas.

• Al menos 2 años de experiencia práctica construyendo sistemas de IA en producción.

Your Tasks

Customer Order Services (COS) is the strategic backbone for customer order data and processing at MediaMarktSaturn. It consolidates order information, standardizes access through a common API model, and orchestrates fine-grained workflows that power the end-to-end online order journey. Positioned as the main communication layer, COS connects the Order Management Systems (OMS) with major corporate applications — such as SAP Retail, Checkout, Payment systems, Invoicing applications, and Pick-and-Pack solutions — ensuring consistent, real-time order processing across the enterprise.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Design, implement, and evolve COS REST APIs and event schemas (OpenAPI, API Gateway), enabling contract-first integrations and decoupling consumers from Order Management platform.
• Develop and orchestrate event-driven order workflows with Kafka/Kafka Streams and Temporal (basket-to-order, payment/checkout, digital activation, fulfillment, transport management), ensuring reliability, idem-potency, and auditability.

Join us as Senior Backend Engineer to build the financial infrastructure that 750,000+ European SMEs depend on every day, from highly scalable APIs to robust banking services that handle real money, in real time, with zero room for mistakes.

You will join one of our mission-based teams of 5 to 10 engineers, led by a dedicated Engineering Manager. You will work alongside backend, web, iOS, and Android engineers, as well as Product Managers and Designers, in either a Product team (building features used directly by customers) or a Platform team (developing the scalable foundations that help Product teams move faster). Your team owns a clear mission end-to-end, following our "you build it, you own it" approach, and you will stay connected to the wider Backend community through our Backend Guild.

What you'll do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain services handling real financial transactions, owning reliability in production, not just at merge time
• Co-own service architecture, resilience, and scalability with respect to Domain-Driven Design principles
• Grow in technical leadership: lead design discussions, anticipate risks, and mentor less experienced engineers
• Drive continuous improvement, from fixing flaky CI to running post-mortems and propagating learnings across the team

🧠 Sobre el rol

Buscamos un/a Senior Backend Engineer para convertirse en la segunda referencia técnica del equipo, trabajando mano a mano con nuestro Tech Lead. Trabajarás en la parte más core de nuestra plataforma: los servicios backend, las integraciones y la capa que conecta nuestro software con los dispositivos que gestionamos para nuestros clientes (scripting avanzado, automatización a nivel de sistema operativo y servidores).

No buscamos a alguien que necesite que le marquen el camino, sino a alguien que tome ownership de piezas críticas desde el primer día, y que eleve el nivel técnico del equipo. El rol es para ti si disfrutas resolviendo problemas complejos de sistemas y entiendes que cada decisión técnica impacta directamente en el negocio y en nuestros clientes.

Tus responsabilidades principales serán:

• Diseñar, desarrollar y mantener los servicios backend y APIs core de la plataforma, con foco en fiabilidad, rendimiento y mantenibilidad.
• Desarrollar scripts y automatizaciones avanzadas a nivel de sistema operativo (Windows, macOS y Linux) para la gestión remota de dispositivos a escala.
• Construir librerías y componentes reutilizables que sirvan de base para otros servicios y para el resto del equipo.
• Diseñar y mantener integraciones con plataformas de terceros (MDM y gestión de dispositivos, entre otras): autenticación, sincronización de datos, reintentos y manejo de errores.
• Administrar y operar servidores: despliegues, configuración, monitorización, troubleshooting y respuesta ante incidencias en producción.
• Liderar de forma autónoma proyectos técnicos críticos de principio a fin: desde el diseño técnico hasta su puesta en producción.
• Participar con el Tech Lead en las decisiones de arquitectura, modelado de datos y priorización técnica, y actuar como su backup técnico.
• Elevar el nivel del equipo: code reviews, buenas prácticas, documentación técnica y, a futuro, mentoring de perfiles más junior.

Competencias técnicas

Lo que verás a continuación es nuestra lista de deseos. Pero como solemos decir en Emendu: “si te apasiona aprender, ya tienes lo más importante”. Así que, aunque no cumplas todos los requisitos, ¡te animamos a aplicar!

• Experiencia de 6+ años como backend engineer en entornos de producción, con al menos parte de ella en un rol senior con ownership real sobre sistemas críticos.
• Dominio sólido de TypeScript / Node.js (NestJS o frameworks similares con inyección de dependencias y arquitectura modular).
• Scripting avanzado (Bash, PowerShell y/o Python) y conocimiento profundo del funcionamiento interno de los sistemas operativos: procesos, servicios, permisos, red y configuración del sistema.
• Experiencia desarrollando librerías, SDKs, agentes o componentes core utilizados por otros servicios o equipos.
• Administración de servidores Linux: te mueves con soltura en la línea de comandos y eres capaz de diagnosticar y resolver incidencias en producción por tu cuenta.
• Experiencia diseñando APIs RESTful robustas: paginación, filtros, versionado y manejo consistente de errores.
• Experiencia con PostgreSQL: diseño de esquemas, migraciones y optimización de queries.
• Experiencia integrando APIs de terceros en producción: OAuth2/API keys, rate limiting, reintentos, webhooks y colas.
• Sólida base en diseño de sistemas y arquitectura de software: separación de responsabilidades, abstracción de servicios externos y testing desacoplado.
• Conocimiento avanzado de Docker, Git y flujos de trabajo colaborativos (branching, code review, PRs, CI/CD).
• Nivel funcional de inglés para documentación técnica y comunicación con el equipo.

Suma puntos si tienes:

• Experiencia con plataformas de MDM / RMM o endpoint management (gestión de flotas de dispositivos, agentes instalados en equipo).
• Experiencia con event-driven architecture: mensajería asíncrona, pub/sub, Redis o colas.
• Conocimientos de seguridad: OWASP Top 10, gestión de secretos, hardening de servidores y protección de datos (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Prácticas de DevOps/SRE: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible o similares), observabilidad y fiabilidad de servicios en producción; familiaridad con Docker Swarm o Kubernetes.
• Familiaridad con IA/ML y uso avanzado de herramientas de desarrollo asistido por IA (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot u otras) en tu día a día.
• Conocimiento de patrones avanzados de arquitectura: hexagonal, DDD táctico o clean architecture; Spec-Driven Development.
• Experiencia haciendo mentoring a otros/as desarrolladores/as.
• Experiencia previa en startups o equipos pequeños donde una persona cubre múltiples responsabilidades.

Azure DevOps Engineer

1. Titulación Superior, FP.
2. Mínimo 2 años de experiencia en Microsoft Azure.
3. Experiencia en Azure, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes.
4. Se valorará conocimientos en Ansible, Elasticsearch, Kivana.
