Agile Jenkins Kotlin Git Android TDD QA Retrofit

Join Plexus Tech. We´re looking for Android developers with at least 5 years of experience in native development.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of continuous, specialized experience in native Android development
- Experience with projects consisting of libraries or that publish SDKs as a product.
- Working experience on projects requiring accessibility is essential.
- Proficiency in Kotlin as a programming language.
- Extensive knowledge of visibility and extensibility in Kotlin.
- Knowledge of Flow and Coroutines.
- Version control systems, preferably Git.
- Use of CI/CD tools: Bitrise (or similar: Github Workflow, Jenkins, etc.)
- Agile development methodologies.
- Workflow for creating/reviewing PRs and QA testing (QA).
- Architecture knowledge (MVP, MVVM, and Clean) and experience working with Compose.
- Remote data retrieval libraries: Retrofit (or similar: Ktor).
- Local data retrieval libraries: Room, DataStore, and SharedPreferences.
- Accessibility
- Jetpack Compose
- Testing
- Static code analysis tools: Detekt (or similar: Ktlint, Spotless, etc.)
- Additional testing knowledge: TDD, Instrumental Tests.
- Annotation processing libraries such as KSP or code generation tools such as Kotlin Poet.
- Native Spanish language skills.
- English level equivalent to B2.

We are the product and engineering team responsible for Yoga-Go. We help improve the health and wellbeing of millions of people around the world by providing them with the best environment to practice yoga and related soothing activities for both the body and mind, at home.

We are looking for an Android Engineer who dreams of developing ambitious products that positively impact the lives of millions of users and wants to be part of a team that builds apps in the Health & Fitness space

Key responsibilities:
- Work with modern technology stack: Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, Jetpack Compose and other Jetpack libs (Arch components, Navigation, DataStore, Room, Hilt, etc)
- Participate in the design and development of a mobile app and its integrations with other backend systems as a member of a cross-functional product-engineering team
- Contribute to System Design of the overall product
- Collaborate with other Engineers to constantly push the boundary of technical excellence across Android and beyond
- Operate and support systems running in production
- Implement cool ideas and have impact on millions of users in a customer-centric environment with high degree of ownership
Required skills:
- Commercial experience in Android development (Kotlin)
- Ability to choose the right tool for each challenge, learn new tools and technologies
- Ability to highlight risks and propose efficient solutions
- Experience with design for testability, automated tests and willingness to work in an environment where engineers own the quality end-to-end
- Great understanding of OOP, design patterns and typical architectures, including: MVVM/MVI, DI
- Ability to craft clean, maintainable code
- Experience with Android Jetpack (Any of: Arch components, Compose, Navigation, Room, Hilt, WorkManager)
- Experience with Kotlin Coroutines
- Knowledge of Jetpack Compose
- Experience with Rest API, Retrofit
- Ability to learn fast, collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively
- Interest in methodologies that allow fast iterations and increments such as eXtreme Programming, CI/CD mindset and TDD
- Good command of English

Nice to have:
- Commercial experience with Jetpack Compose
- Experience with backend development
