ROLE SUMMARY:
The British College of Gava, in Barcelona, are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised English Teacher (English Language and Literature) who can inspire students across Secondary and IBDP. As a growing school, we are looking for excellent teachers with the potential to take on future leadership roles. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and academically rigorous English Language & Literature lessons aligned with the school curriculum and international standards, with a special focus on Secondary and IBDP.
- Plan and implement differentiated learning strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress with accuracy and timeliness.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports student well-being and intellectual curiosity.
- Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching, learning, and student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment design, and cross-curricular initiatives.
- Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities, parent communication, and community initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development and uphold the school’s values, safeguarding policies, and code of conduct.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature. Experience with the IB curricula will be an advantage.
- Experience teaching GCSE, A Level, IB, or other international curricula.

ROLE SUMMARY:
The British College of Gavà, an Inspired school, is seeking to appoint an Intern to join us on a fixed term and full time basis.
This is an exciting new role in a growing area of the business. The Intern will work closely with several departments and teams to support them with a wide range of tasks, depending on the school’s needs and the intern's background. The role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment while contributing to the overall brand-building process.
The internship allows the individual to develop valuable, transferable skills, many of which are applicable across education, administration, and other professional fields.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Classroom Support
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Helping individual students or small groups with assignments.
- Help with the setup of Sorts equipment for the PE classes
- Supervising students during activities or transitions.
- Patio and lunch duties
- Outings in school trips
- Exam invigilations
- Help with morning registrations on our platform
- Assistance in setting up school even
- Administrative Tasks
- Filing, photocopying, organizing materials.
- Assisting with attendance, record-keeping, or scheduling.
- Supporting the front office or reception with basic duties
- Student Engagement
- Supporting extracurricular activities, clubs, or after-school programs. Mentoring or tutoring students.
- Helping with events like assemblies, sports days, or parent evenings
- Observation and Learning
- Observing different teaching styles and school operations.
- Attending staff meetings or training sessions.
- Learning about education policies, student behavior, and school culture
- Miscellaneous Support
- Setting up technology for lessons or presentations.
- Decorating bulletin boards or organizing classroom spaces.
- Running errands within the school
- Currently enrolled in a degree.
- Strong passion for working in school environments
- Basic graphic design skills or experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator) is a plus.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.

This is an exciting new role in a growing area of the business. The Social Media Intern will work closely with the social media or digital marketing team to support the execution of social media campaigns, content creation, and engagement strategies across various platforms. The role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management and digital marketing while contributing to the overall brand-building process. The day’s schedule for this role will start later on the day and finish at 6:30pm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for the following
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of daily social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc
- Take photos of school events
- Help with the school’s newsletter
- Monitor and engage with followers, respond to comments, and manage direct messages in a timely manner.
- Help track social media performance using analytics tools, prepare regular reports, and suggest improvements.
