ROLE SUMMARY:

The British College of Gavà, an Inspired school, is seeking to appoint a Social Media Intern to join us on 25/08/2025 on a fixed term and full time basis

This is an exciting new role in a growing area of the business. The Social Media Intern will work closely with the social media or digital marketing team to support the execution of social media campaigns, content creation, and engagement strategies across various platforms. The role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management and digital marketing while contributing to the overall brand-building process. The day’s schedule for this role will start later on the day and finish at 6:30pm

The internship allows the individual to develop key skills in digital communication, social media tools, content strategy, and community management. It’s a great starting point for those looking to pursue a career in digital marketing, PR, or content creation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for the following

• Assist in the creation and scheduling of daily social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc
• Take photos of school events
• Help with the school’s newsletter
• Monitor and engage with followers, respond to comments, and manage direct messages in a timely manner.
• Help track social media performance using analytics tools, prepare regular reports, and suggest improvements.
• Research social media trends, popular hashtags, and competitor activities to ensure our content is fresh and relevant.
• Support the design and execution of social media campaigns and promotions.
• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to align messaging with overall marketing strategies.
• Help with community management and fostering positive interactions across social media channels.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in social media and digital marketing.
• Take on other everyday duties such as: Patio and lunch duties, Outings in school trips, Exam invigilations, Help with morning registrations on our platform
  
  

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Strong passion for social media and understanding of various platforms.
• Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
• Basic graphic design skills or experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator) is a plus.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
• Speaks Spanish and English
• It is a key requirement for this position to have the ability to take high-quality photos, as visual content plays a crucial role in engaging audiences and enhancing
