Business Development Manager Barcelona, Spain (Office-based, Full-time) CommerceGate Payment Solutions S.L. We deliver: Payment technologies : Payment gateway, card acquiring, alternative/local methods, reconciliation, reporting & invoicing. Global processing solutions : With strong focus on EU & LatAm markets

  • Fraud & risk management services. E-money services (e.g., SEPA accounts, prepaid card issuing, FX – in development). We are: Authorised & regulated by Banco de España PCI DSS Level 1 certified Our multinational team of ~50 fintech professionals spans Spain, Ukraine, UK, Portugal, and Brazil. The Role – Business Development Manager We are seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Barcelona HQ. This is a hands-on sales role responsible for driving new merchant acquisition, partnerships, and revenue growth in eCommerce payments. You will build high-value relationships with merchants, take ownership of the sales cycle from prospecting to close , and collaborate with CSM, product, and risk teams to deliver best-in-class solutions. What You'll Do Develop new merchant and partner relationships to grow transaction volume & revenue. Own the sales pipeline : prospecting (inbound/outbound), qualification, negotiation, close. Exceed sales & revenue targets through strategic selling of payment solutions
  • Build long-term merchant relationships, deeply understand business needs, & tailor solutions. Educate clients on payment industry trends & CommerceGate's value proposition. Manage CRM reporting & forecasting with 100% accuracy. Collaborate with internal teams (CSM, product, risk) to ensure smooth onboarding & service delivery. Actively raise brand awareness in both niche & mainstream payment verticals. Leverage tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator & research to expand reach and drive pipeline. Performance Metrics (KPIs) Monthly transaction volume & new revenue. New merchant acquisition & retention rate. Sales pipeline velocity & conversion rates. Average deal size & profitability. CRM accuracy (100% compliance). Who You Are 3 years proven success in payments sales (PSP, acquiring, alt payments, or fintech). Strong network of merchants/partners & knowledge of the payment ecosystem
  • Experience selling to C-suite stakeholders at merchants/ISVs. Skilled negotiator with strong presentation & communication skills. Driven, results-oriented, confident, and comfortable in a high-growth environment
  • Native/Fluent English & Spanish (Portuguese a plus). EU residency & work permit. Willingness to travel domestically & internationally. What We Offer Competitive package with performance incentives. Office in central Barcelona
