Position Reports: Marketing Director

Location: Milan, Italy

Position Overview:

The Junior Brand Manager for SKYN® is responsible for managing all facets of the SKYN® brand in Southern Europe by ensuring all its marketing and trade marketing activities meet the needs of our consumers and customers. Working closely together with local marketing & commercial teams, will be responsible for translating the strategic direction into a regional brand development framework and assets that will be implemented in local marketing plans.

This includes portfolio management, NPD launches, Go-To-Market priorities across 4Ps, communication development & planning. The role requires “championing” the brand in the region. This means influencing and co-ordination with local stakeholders to ensure that their activities are working in harmony with the global direction and assets.

  • Managing all aspects of the SKYN® brand from initial product launch planning, all the way through to the marketing mix to ensure effective activities are implemented and engage our consumers.
  • Contributing to the SKYN® brand strategic plan and ensuring all aspects of the marketing mix and activities align with the values and goals of the brand passport.
  • Sourcing and working with suppliers and agencies that will assist in executing

This role will be reporting to the Marketing Director, and will have the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Managing SKYN® brand in Italy, Spain and Portugal, leading to strong market share growth .

  • Developing and sustaining strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Developing high quality and effective marketing materials that align correctly with the overall SKYN® brand strategy.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, research and competitors’ activities, regular analyses of market research studies for brand performance tracking.
  • Work closely with agencies to manage SKYN® brand marketing campaigns, while ensuring marketing budgets are met.
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing campaigns and assess ROI and KPIs. Essential Skills:
  • Communication skills: must be able to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally.
  • Research skills: must understand their consumer base extremely thoroughly in order to appeal to that audience successfully.
  • Interpersonal skills: requires successfully managing and communicating with various other members of the team. Being able to work as a leader while maintaining strong relationships is a must.
  • Creativity: coming up with new and unheard-of marketing ideas
  • Storytelling abilities: successfully promoting the brand, coming up with a compelling story about the product to convey to the audience.
  • Analytical skills: forecasting future consumer trends and determining the various benefits and challenges of a particular pathway.
  • Finance/budget management: must develop and maintain marketing and advertising budgets.

Job Experience :

  • Must have previous experience working in brand management within the FMCG or Consumer Health sector, preferably in sexual well-being sector.
  • Experience in digital marketing is a must.
  • Hands on commercial experience, be driven and passionate about brand marketing.
  • Experience of the full marketing mix is essential. Education

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing or business studies.

Languages :

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in ENGLISH, Italian, Spanish, (Portuguese).

Additional Requirements (travel, etc.)

  • Ability to travel approx. 20%.
