AIRBUS offer more than 70 vacancies for our full time graduate program in Spain - #Discover I 2026/2027 - Starting date 2nd March 2026 until 26th February.
We are looking for recent graduates from different disciplines interested in developing their professional career in the aeronautical sector. The current context demands different ways of looking, thinking and relating.
The selection process will be during October 2025 until February 2026.

What does this internship consists in?

Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (Discover) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.

You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to Discover the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.

The start of the internship will be in early March 2026, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full-time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.

Internship Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Industrial Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence Specialist to join our cutting-edge team in Getafe. The ideal candidate will be rpart of executing the digital transformation strategy of our plant, implementing Industry 4.0 solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

This role is fundamental to creating the "smart factory" of the future by connecting the physical and digital through the implementation of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), and Digital Twins.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement the Getafe´s vision: Smart & Connect: Collaborate with department leaders to define and execute the plant´s digitalization strategy.
- Manufacturing Process Optimization:
- Implement real-time monitoring systems using IoT sensors for production data collection.
- Utilize Big Data analytics to identify bottlenecks, predict machinery failures, and optimize workflow.
- Develop and apply Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models for predictive maintenance, energy consumption optimization, and product quality improvement.

- Digitalization Project Management: Lead new technology implementation projects, from conceptualization to deployment and staff training.
- Simulation and Digital Twins:
- Create and maintain digital twins of production processes to simulate and validate changes before physical implementation.
- Use simulation to optimize internal logistics, production line design, and human-machine interaction.

- Additive Manufacturing: Drive the adoption of additive manufacturing for rapid prototyping, tooling, and the creation of lightweight, complex aerospace components.
- Industrial Cybersecurity: Ensure data security and the protection of connected production systems against cyber threats.
- Collaboration and Training: Work closely with engineering, production, quality, and IT teams. Train plant personnel on the use of new digital tools and technologies.

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Education: Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Technical Knowledge in:
- Industrial IoT (IIoT) platforms and data acquisition systems.
- Data analysis and Big Data tools
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, i
- Design and simulation software
- Principles of Additive Manufacturing and composite materials.
- Cybersecurity concepts in industrial (OT) environments.

- Additional Competencies:
- Project management skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex issues.
- Communication skills to present technical ideas to diverse audiences.
- An innovative and proactive mindset with a great capacity to adapt to new technologies.
