The position will work closely with the Human Resources Unit, the Projects & International Affairs Office, the Scientific Direction, and the Academic Committees, ensuring smooth coordination of academic procedures, onboarding and mobility processes for researchers.
This position is part of the MAGNET project, funded by the Spanish State Research Agency (AEI), aimed at strengthening CRAG’s capacity in international talent attraction, researcher support and academic development.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Attraction & International Outreach
- Promote CRAG vacancies across academic and international platforms (EURAXESS, ResearchGate, LinkedIn) including support in CRAG’s participation in talent fairs, university events and scientific meetings.
- Identify potential candidates for competitive fellowships (MSCA, EMBO, La Caixa) as a host institution, contributing to CRAG employer branding and improvements in CRAG’s talent-related communication.
- Monitor national and international fellowship calls and eligibility requirements (pre-award).
- Coordinate onboarding procedures for new researchers, ensuring a smooth and positive start experience creating an international point of contact for practical information (local guidance and services).
- Support mobility-related processes in coordination with CRAG’s external mobility provider.
- Assist HR in welcome sessions and research integration activities.
- Provide operational support for the CRAG Training Plan, including registrations, certificates and platform updates.
- Assist in mentoring and career-development activities for early-career researchers.
- Support institutional relations with universities for Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes, coordinating academic documentation, calendars and enrolment periods for PhD and postdoctoral researchers.
- Assist PhD personnel with academic procedures and help organize evaluation and mentoring meetings with the Academic Committee.
- Contribute to the monitoring and reporting of KPIs across all assigned areas (talent attraction, onboarding and mobility, training and academic programme support).[CJ6] [NM7]
- Degree in Life Sciences, Experimental Sciences or similar.
- PhD in Sciences will be a plus.
- Previous experience in academic or researcher-support roles (universities, research centres or international mobility units).
- Experience supporting or coordinating competitive funding processes (fellowships, mobility programmes) will be an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate administrative processes and work with multiple stakeholders (researchers, HR, projects, external providers).
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English, Spanish (written and spoken), Catalan will be an asset.
- Good command of MS Office and the ability to learn institutional management tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and international environments.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to coordinate tasks across units (HR, Projects, researchers, external providers).
- Proactive, adaptable and service-oriented, with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Good command of MS Office and ability to learn management tools.
- Full time contract (37.5h/week), funded through the MAGNET – GPE programme (European Project Management). Duration: 2 years.
- Salary according to experience and CRAG salary structure.
- Expected starting date: February 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
- Flexible working hours and teleworking options (according to CRAG policy), 22 days of holidays and 9 personal leave days (both pro-rated), intensive working hours in summer and on Fridays
- Work in an international research centre located at the UAB Campus, with a collaborative and multicultural environment.
