Reporting to the Finance Manager and CFO, we are looking for a qualified and motivated senior accountant with experience in accounting and tax in projects under construction. The role is a key part for the new phase of the Spanish projects, entering the project finance and construction phase, with responsibility with external users (banks, tax authority, auditors) and internal users (project managers, EPC team, managers) enhancing and maintaining reporting, systems and processes.

You will act as an effective business partner, enabling good decisions as we continue to scale and grow our business.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the accounting and the administrative and financial management:

• Preparing and reporting timely monthly financial statements (Spanish GAAP, IFRS).
• Intercompany transactions and consolidation.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Report cash flows, budgets, and variations for each project monthly.
• Preparing the payments folders, ensuring the proper authorizations.
• Preparing and reporting year-end accounts and statutory accounts.
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
• Prepare information for external audits.
• Prepare accounting and finance reports ad hoc.

¿A quién buscamos (H/M/D)?

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or higher education in Administration or Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Spanish financial departments with knowledge of Spanish laws, taxes and accounting.
• Knowledge of renewable sector and IFRS Gaap will be a plus.
• Knowledge of Navision and/or SAP is a plus.
• Experience working with intercompany transactions
• Experience working with cashflows and budgets by projects.
• Medium to high English level.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Organized and Proactive.
• Spanish native-speaker and very good command of English (written and spoken) are essential.
• Reliable, task-oriented and proactive team member with good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines.
• Ability to analyse data and make decisions.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software and Excel.
