We are looking for a Field Service E&A Technician with a main responsibility in supervising Field Service Electrical & Automation activities on 4-Stroke Marine Engines and Propulsion Control Systems. The preferred location for this position is Valencia, Spain.

Your role and responsibilities 

As a Field Service E&A Technician, your responsibilities will include traveling and working on-site, either during new installations (commissioning) or during overhauls of marine installations and power plants. We expect you to have hands-on experience with 4-stroke engines (Diesel, Gas, or Dual Fuel) and propulsion equipment such as CPPs, thrusters, and water jets. A good command of both written and spoken English is essential.

As a Field Service E&A Technician you will focus on these responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical systems and equipment at marine and power plant locations.
• Assist in the setup, testing, and initial operation of new mechanical systems and equipment to ensure they are installed correctly and functioning as intended.
• Support the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of mechanical systems and components during scheduled overhauls to maintain optimal performance.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various types of 4-stroke engines, including Diesel, Gas, and Dual Fuel engines.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot different types of propulsion equipment, such as Controllable Pitch Propellers (CPP), Thrusters, and waterjets.
• Be prepared to travel approximately 80% of the time to different sites to provide on-site mechanical support and services.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  
  

Requirements for the position 

• Proven experience in troubleshooting, overhauls, and commissioning activities.
• Willingness and availability to travel frequently (approximately 80% of the time).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in multicultural environments.
• High awareness and commitment to safety standards and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proficient in preparing clear and accurate technical reports.
• Experience in direct interaction with clients, ensuring professional and effective communication.
